I had just gotten back from working in the Royal Stables when dinner was ready. My older sister, Fawna, was at the table already eating, but I didn't see Spring. I looked questioningly at my sister and she pointed to Spring's room. I nodded and went into the kitchen to get a bowl of stew.
"How was the pub?" I asked while eating a spoonful of stew.
She shrugged, "Normal, I guess. How was the stables? "
"Hectic as always. So normal, I guess." Fawna just nodded and we ate our stew in silence. I could tell Fawna was upset about Spring. They had been best friends since we were little. We think of Spring as a sister, and it hurts Fawna tbe most seeing her upset.
The sun was setting when I went outside to check on the horses. I walked over to Bramble and gave him a flake of hay. I gave oats to my pegasus, Mangrove. I heard a rustle from the trees as I went over to pet Filly our phoenix. A handsome man around 17 stepped out from the forest. I smiled and he returned it. "Good evening, " I said politely.
"Hello. I am afraid I am lost. Would you be able to help me?" He smiled again. His teeth are perfect I thought. Get yourself together Flora! I thought.
"I should be able to. Where do you need to go? " I smiled brightly c
"I'm looking for The Kingdom of Eve. Do you know where that is? "
"Yes! It's right over there, " I pointed towards the kingdom, then gave him directions on how to get there.
"Thank you..?" He asked wanting to know her name.
"Flora, " I said with another smile.
"I'm Jax. " He smiled back at me.
"Pleasure to meet you, Jax. "
"The pleasure is mine, Flora. Thank you for the directions. I hope I will see you again soon, " he said with a wink. He mounted his horse and rode towards the kingdom.
