Tay Pov
I️ was trying to sleep, but Tangey kept twisting and turning all over the bed.
" Tangey, stop moving! " I️ said, with a raspy voice. She finally stops and goes back to sleep. Which only made me mad cause now I️ can't go back to sleep. I️ sat up and grabbed my phone, checking for notifications. I️ had got a text from my bestfriend back in New York.
Kira 😊 - You made it to Atlanta yet? 👀
I quickly text her back, then set my phone back on my dresser. Today is Sunday but feel like a Monday. I️ got up out of my bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I️ made sure the water was at the temperature I️ wanted and got in. It felt good to wash away the sleepiness from my system.
After about thirty minutes, I️ got out and wrapped my robe around me and went to brush my teeth. Once finished with my hygiene, I️ walked out the room and to my closet to put on some house clothes. Tangey was still sleeping. I️ walked out my room and downstairs to the kitchen to see my mom was already up.
" Morning, " she said.
" Morning, " I️ replied as I️ made me a hot pocket. We didn't have that much food in the house being that we just got here.
" Today, I️ wanted to go out and get some things for the house. And I️ need to get you and Tangey's school supplies, " my mom said, typing away on her phone.
" When are we starting school? "
" Tomorrow, " I️ scrunched up my face. We just got here and we going to school early?
" Why we starting school so early? I️ though we was going to school in like the middle of the week or Friday, " I️ said.
" I️ thought about it, but I wanted y'all to get familiar with the new school, " she said. I️ signed. I️ hated the idea of starting a new school because I️ would be the new kid who doesn't have any friends. I'm a very anti-social person. I️ don't really talk to anybody, unless they come up to me first.
" You gotta stop with all that shyness and being anti-social. You can't be like that when you get into the real world and you be all by yourself. There's nothing wrong with making new friends, Tay, " my mother said.
" I️ guess.., " I️ mumbled. We'll just have to see what happens tomorrow.
" Where's Tangey? "
" She's still sleeping, "
" Go wake her up and in the shower and get her dressed. I️ wanna be out the house by eleven. We got a lot of things to do today before tomorrow, " my mother said. I️ nodded my head as I️ trailed back upstairs. When I️ walked in, she was already up watching Bubble Guppies.
