I woke up to Tangey smacking me in my face. I rolled my eyes as I sat up and checked my phone. It was six-thirty in the morning. Mom told me I had to be at school by eight-thirty.
I threw the covers off me as I stretch out my body before walking to the bathroom to start my day. Once I was done washing up, I slipped on my slik velvet robe and went to do my daily face cleansing and brushed my teeth.
After that, I went to pick out an outfit. The school I'm going to doesn't really have a dress code as long you don't show up...basically naked. I walked to my walk in closet and looked around my options.
After about twenty minutes, I finally decided on something. Once I was done, I started my makeup first then my hair. By the time I was done, it was around seven-twenty and Tangey was still in my bed sleep.
My mom walks in, in her scrubs. She frowns.
" Why you ain't get Tangey up and ready? " my mom asks. I looked over at her.
" Uh..because I had to get myself ready. You know my hair and my makeup takes the longest. Getting her ready is just going to slow me down " I say, turning back to my mirror. I grabbed my concealer and fixed up my eye brows. My mom rolled her eyes.
" I understand you wanna look like some celebrity, Tay, but I'm going to need your help around here, especially with your sister " My mom says, I lowkey rolled my eyes. She gets Tangey up and walks her out to get her ready.
Soon, I was finally finished getting ready. I went downstairs, and as I was passing by the living room, I noticed a body length mirror. Smiling to myself, I decided to take my phone and take a quick pic before I leave.

Once I was done, I posted it on Snap and took a few more to post on Instagram. My mom came downstairs with Tangey. I put my jacket on over my shirt cause I knew my mom would have something to say about it and make me change it.
" You ready? " she asked. I nod my head as I grabbed my stuff. We locked up the house and got in the car. After everyone was strapped up, my mom pulled off.
" You nervous? " She asked, glancing over at me then back at the road. I shrugged.
" A lil, I just wish I didn't have to move to a new school and leave my friends behind, but you know, life happens " I say, giving a sarcastic look before returning to a straight face. My mom chuckles.
" I promise you, you're gonna love it here in Atlanta. I loved it here and hopefully, you and Tangey will you to " Me and Tangey scoffed, making my mom laughed.
" Mainly, I hope you stay out of trouble, Tay. And I mean it to, you need to keep your head in them books, not those boys " My mom says sternly, I rolled my eyes. We dropped Tangey off first at her school then we was on our way to my school. When we pulled up, my jaw nearly dropped.
