The Meeting

Alfred/America:
Tired; that's the word to describe how Alfred was feeling that day, emotionally, mentally, and physically. Too tired. Too tired to go to a World Meeting. And definitely too tired to put up his usual mask of a happy go-lucky idiot.

With his mask gone will others notice somethings wrong?

Arthur will...

No that's a lie. He doesn't care...no one does. America could probably pass it off as not having coffee this morning.

He takes a deep breath and prepares to push open the meeting room door and sit in his seat. Hopefully get a nap in while Germany rambles on about whatever the hell they're here for. The door opens with a creak and America trudges to the seat between England and Canada.

"AMERICA! Why the bloody hell are you late? I want a real reason this time." England glares and taps his foot, waiting for a response. Not like it matters anyway, it's not like anything ever gets accomplished.

"I-I'm just tired and overslept. That's all." As if to prove the point, he yawns and slumps into his seat, resting his head on the meeting table and falling into blissful oblivion.

Matthew/Canada:
Canada raises a brow. He can't remember the last time his brother ever looked like this. And it's not tired. Canada had seen the younger tired before but this...there's something else too.

Alfred looks so peaceful in his sleep...except with a closer look at his facial expression, the Canadian saw hints of pain. He looks like he did during the depression. Wait-

Coming to the realization something was wrong, he turned to tell England but of course, he was already in the process of ripping France's throat out.

"Ah Engla-"

"ALRIGHT LETS GET STARTED." Everyone scrambles for their seats, hoping to avoid Germany's wrath. Somehow Alfred still manages to sleep through the yelling.

About 10 minutes into Germany's speech, Canada reached over Al and poked England's side to get his attention.

"Hmm?"

"Something's wrong with Al."

"The git said he was tired. Probably stayed up all night playing those bloody video games." But it was clear England was just as worried. "Sigh. I'll help keep an eye on him."

<Time Skip brought to you by how badly I need a new season>

Al woke up after about an hour with his stomach growling. They have lunch in 30 minutes but nothing ever gets accomplished so Germany decided to call break. Perfect chance to see if something is wrong. He wrote down the plan, not really concerned about people seeing, they never notice anyway. He passed it to France who looked worried too. The note told France to inform England too. After receiving the message, England nods, confirming he'll also go along with the idea. He must be really concerned for Al if he's willing to go eat at McDonald's just to find out if something might be wrong.
