c h a p t e r t w o

✿☆ - a regular school day - ☆ ✿

it was just a regular school day, with him. he surely knows how to make my heart race.

[ Luna P.O.V ]

"okay class we are going to take a brake. it's lunch right now, so make sure you guys eat well. class dismissed and come back on time!" my teacher, Mr. Kim announced. the whole class yells a yes in unison, right before rushing hurriedly out the class room to eat their lunches.

"Mrs.Yoo, you aren't going out to eat lunch in the cafeteria with the rest of your friends and classmates?" Mr. Kim asks. "they aren't friends." i grumble quietly so Mr. Kim wouldn't hear. "Oh, no i'll eat my lunch in here" i put a smile on my face answering his question. "i'm sorry Mrs. Yoo, but i'm afraid I can't let that happen. although i trust my precious student in this class room to be alone, i'm going to have the janitors clean it up during lunch." i pout at his words. " okay no problem. i'll just eat lunch out in the garden. thank you for telling me Mr. Kim. see you after lunch." i replied.

i picked up my lunch and grabbed a book and headed for the garden, the place where i can have my peace. only me and Mr. Kim know about this secret garden. it truly holds a special value for me.

getting near the garden, i smiled and admired the beauty i was surrounded by. i inhaled the scent of the freshly bloomed flowers and felt at ease. i settled down on a bench and began eating my food. today was a nice sunny yet windy day. a very good day indeed. after taking a couple of bites of my lunch i began to read my book.

i stayed like that for a while until i realized someone had sat down next to me for god knows how long. i let out a small little shriek and lost my balance on the bench. i hears the sweet sounds of laughter and was caught by a pair of arms before my body had met with the ground.

"G-guanlin? what are you doing here? how long have you been here? only i know about this place. did you follow me?" i bombarded him with questions while distancing myself from him. "relax shorty," i furrowed my eyebrows at the sudden nickname he gave me. "ask one question at a time, will ya? i was too excited to eat lunch with my friends, that i forgot to get my lunch before i left the class room. there i over heard you and Mr. Kim talking. i wanted to hang out with you during lunch, but i never knew where to find you, but i know now. so does that all answer your questions?" he lifts one eyebrow. i puff my cheeks "sure whatever your answers make sense. if you wanted to hang out with me you could have just texted. anyways," i set down my book, "where's your lunch by the way?" now it's my turn to lift an eyebrow. "oh hahaha ah lunch, you see...i forgot it." out of habit, he scratches the back of his neck. I roll my eyes at his response. and handed him my food. "here eat up." "w-why are you giving me your lunch!? you need to eat too." he says surprised. "ah that's okay i've eaten a lot for breakfast this morning." he nods his head and replies with a thank you.

minutes have passed and he finishes the lunch i gave him and i read my book. the wind blows slightly harder which makes me shiver. Guanlin looks over at me and asks, "hey are you cold? it's pretty cold. you should have brought a jacket out with you." he takes off his jacket and throws it on top of my head. "use it, you'll get a cold." i glare at him for throwing his jacket at me, but i couldn't help but to smile because he cared for me. putting the jacket on i couldn't help but to notice his sweet scent. i was going to say thanks but i had been interrupted by a bell. "stupid bell" i mumble.

"hey lunch is over. we should head back to class. i'll go first okay? thanks for the lunch shorty!" Guanlin yelled as he was getting farther away in distance. and with that i was left at the garden alone...only to clean up the mess Guanlin made while eating the lunch i have him!? gee thanks, how rude. "no wonder why he left so early." i say with a poker face.

i entered the class room again and was greeted by a lively class room and yelling teacher whom was trying to calm the students down.

"okay class! settle down! settle down! i've had enough of your childish behavior!" although Mr. Kim seems like a rude teacher, once you get to know him a little better, he'll be that one teacher you always look forward to seeing when you go to school. "some of you guys have been too loud and talkative with each other so I'm going have a new seating chart." some of the students cheered while others groaned and whinnied.

time passed and i grew anxious because my name had not been called, so had Guanlin's. as Mr. Kim called the names of the students new assigned seats everyone was happy for the most part, until I had heard my name be called, "Yoo Luna, your new seat mate is Guanlin. you two sit in the back near the window." greeeat. that's just great.

i grabbed my belongings and moved to the new assigned seat Mr. Kim gave me.

"looks like we're new seat mates shorty."
