c h a p t e r f o u r

✿ ☆ - the spring festival - ☆ ✿

March 20th. the first day of spring. and also, the school's annual spring festival. occuring to welcome the new beggings in one's life.

[ Luna's pov ]

waking up, for some reason i feel nervous? i had this uneasy feeling in my stomach, making me feel a little off. deciding to shrugg it off, i got ready for school. and as the usual, i would walk to school with Guanlin.

the school day was really chill and so was everyone in my home room. although the class president, Im Rei, and the student council weren't too happy because they had to make sure everything was ready for the festival. they ran around school frantically setting up all the booths and games.

the day ends early and Guanlin and i walk home together. Since we live across the street from each other, it made us even closer as friends because we could walk to each other's house whenever we wanted. when we arrived at my house, i was ready to say my goodbyes to him when he interrupted, "hey don't forget the spring festival starts at 5:00, so we'll be there around 5:30. sounds good?" " yea yea i'll be ready by then. bye bye." i smiled to him while closing the door. receiving a text notification i looked at my phone.

i set my phone down and decide to take a nap, because boy oh boy was the school day tiring. plus if i take an hour nap, it gives me an hour to spend when getting ready.

waking up from my nap i look at my clock and the time reads 5:00??? my eyes widened because i only now have 30 minutes instead of an hour to get ready. quickly getting out of my bed, i ran to my closet to pick an outfit out. standing in front of my closet i constantly tapped my foot thinking of what to wear. 10 minutes later and i'm still deciding. groaning in frustrating i grabbed what was in sight and changed. after doing that i put on very light make-up. which consisted of lip tint and mascara. glancing over at the clock and the time is 5:25. ahhh made it just in time.

i ran down stairs and took and grabbed my brown shoulder bag that hung near the door. "MOM!!! i'm leaving! i don't know when i'll be back, but i'm leaving with Lin okay? BYEEEE!" and with that i walked out the door. Guanlin became in eyesight and i was surprised to see his choice of clothing. walking near each other i looked at him up and down before saying, "nice outfit you got there." he's wearing a plain white long sleeve shirt, the same as me. huh. a pair of washed black jeans, while i wore a black plaid skirt. okay? as for the shoes, we both wore white high top converse. this isn't weird? to top his outfit off he wore a jean jacket. "okay how did we manage to wear the same outfit" i said. "the power of friendship maybe?" he questioned? i shook my head at his response. "lets go already." i say as i drag him.
