Saenathra's P.O.V
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like when you finally get your own place? Or, when you published you best work and they go world wide? Or even if it's just a portrait of you own fuzzy cat, you feel accomplished in every single way as possible? Well, I've accomplished those three goals in the matter of twenty five years of my life. And it feels great! Knowing I have my own little house in the UK on a small placid street makes it a whole lot easier than living in the city. Always crowed and loud. Ain't my style. But, life is easy with just Charlie and I. Charlie is my pet cat. She's a Ragdoll, and she's so cute! She's a complete idiot sometimes, but I can say the same with me.
I don't have a love interest. To be completely honest, I don't want love. What's the point of loving someone? You give them everything, do everything with them, tell them your sob story, and at the end; BANG! They leave you to be heart broken on your couch eating iced cream while watching 'Sex In The City'. So? What is the point of love when your heart is going to break in the end? That's my opinion on it. But, if a man was to come strolling in my life, I'd like to get to know then first before falling for him. But, I may never know. I could meet a nice, good looking guy and fall for him instantly. I'm such a hypocrite.
I do wonder if I'll ever meet someone who loves me one day...
I strolled into my study with a cup of latte in my hand, in the other was my art journal. I sat there down on my swirling chair and placed my items down. I was just about to open my journal, until Charlie pranced up to my leg and rubbed her head against it, meowing happily. I giggle and picked up the rather fat cat, and placed her into my broad hat she sleeps in. With satisfaction, she licked her paw. I let her be and continued with doing my art studies.
My study was the first room at the front of the house. So, I could see my front yard and my neighbour's yard, and a view on the street. It was a two bedroom, with one bathroom and a lounge room connected to the kitchen. Only two hundred a fortnight. I got it easy because my aunt is a house agent.
I haven't thanked her yet, which I should. I really enjoy living in the UK. So many places I haven't heard of, are out there waiting to be discovered by me. Even if we don't get that much sun down here, doesn't mean we can't enjoy the day like everyone else. I find it amazing that in other parts of the world, there's sun beaming twenty four seven. I'd love to see that, to feel that on my skin.As I was rambling on in my mind, I didn't notice my phone ring. I snapped out of thoughts and reached it just on time.
I answered it with my cheerful tone of voice."Hello?"
"Yes, is this Saenathra Miles?"
"Uh...yes, it is. May I ask who is speaking?"
"Oh! I'm sorry for not introducing my self. I'm your aunts apprentice. Dan Smith? I just wanted to talk about your published works! And I find them-"
I cut the boy off as politely as possible. "I'm sorry to interrupt you sir, but I'm currently busy at the time being. Please discuss the matter with Dani. Thank you, goodbye."
I hung up. I sighed in annoyance.
"I really hate being an author. It sucks a lot, Charlie." I looked over to my cat in my hat and chuckled. She was asleep and looked so comfortable and innocent.I smiled and decided to call it a day. I took the last sip of the substance of latte into my mouth before I left. I turned around once more to look at Charlie. I smiled and turned off the light. I walked to my kitchen to clean up my coffee cup, and once I was done, I fell on my couch and put on my favourite sitcom. Frasier.
I laughed as Niles and Daphne had a crush moment, or when Eddy was smart to Frasier. I was in love with this old 90's series.I smiled in glee. My life was absolutely perfect. I didn't need love, all I had was Charlie and my house. I like life as it is now. And I never wanted to change it.
