Niall POV
"Now, what's this about an ex who broke your heart? If you don't mind me asking, or telling me of course." I asked Emma. She took a deep breath. "Well, it started about a year and three months ago. I was dating this girl, Haley Rose. She's a singer for one of my favorite bands, Blood on the Dance Floor. Anyway, I met her at a concert that I went to, and we clicked instantly. She gave me her number, and after that we talked constantly. Eventually, we fell in love. Then a couple months after we started dating, I decided to surprise her at a concert. I hid backstage and when she came out, she went over to some random guy and started kissing him. I was heartbroken. Thankfully, I'm still friends with Dahvie and Jayy." I saw how her eyes lit up when she said Jayy's name.
"So, are you gay then?" I asked her. She shot me a look. "No, silly. I'm pansexual. It means that I could, theoretically, be attracted to all genders and sexual orientations. Male, female, straight, bi, pan, trans, it doesn't really matter." I did a mental fist pump. I could still have a chance with her! Although, if she's not over Haley, then it doesn't really matter. I was snapped out of my daydreaming by Emma waving her hand in front of my face. "Helloo? Anybody home?" she asked. I smiled at her. "Yeah, sorry, love. I was daydreaming." Suddenly, I heard a phone start ringing. The ringtone was an unfamiliar song, that went "I moved on, got strong, even changed my fucking name. Well, I may be Jayy Von now, but Jeremy Brian is from where I came." Emma shot me an apologetic look. "Sorry," she apologized, "that's Jayy calling. I have to take this. You wanna say hi? He's got a crush on you." She winked. I nodded. "Sure." She answered the call and put it on speaker.
"Hey girl! Haven't heard from you in a while, what's up? a male voice rang out of the speaker. "Oh, nothing much, just chilling at a concert with your imaginary boyfriend." Emma answered teasingly. A gasp was heard through the phone. "Em, I swear to Satan, if you're shitting me right now, I will..." "Nope!" Emma replied. "I'm sitting with him right now, and oh, by the way, you're on speaker phone!" she exclaimed. A minute passed, then two, before a shriek was heard away from the phone. "Jesus, Jayy, save it for the concert!" Emma cried, rubbing her ear. "Sorry, love. Wait, if he's actually sitting next to you, then why haven't I hear him?" Jayy asked accusingly. Emma nodded at me. "Well, that's because Emma told me not to say anything until she gave me the signal." I replied. Another minute passed and we heard a loud thump. "Jayy?" Emma asked worryingly. Another voice picked up."Um, Emma? Why is Jayy lying on the ground unconscious?" A deeper male voice asked. "Oh hey Dahvie! Oh, no reason. I just told him I was sitting with Niall Horan, and he freaked out." "Oh. Okay, Can I wake him up?" Dahvie asked. Then we heard Dahvie shouting, "Wake up, motherfucker, wake up! Wake up, motherfucker, wake up!", in between thumps that I assumed was Dahvie kicking Jayy.
"Dahv, don't kill him!" Emma pleaded. "Don't worry, he's waking up!" Dahvie replied cheerfully. A groan was heard through the speaker. "Ugh, Dahvie, did you have to kick me that hard?" Jayy asked groggily. "Anyway, we have to go now! Bye guys, love you!" she called. "Love you too!" they answered. Emma hung up and looked at me. "Well, that was something different."
