Chapter 5

Emma's POV

I wake up to Killian trying to sneak out of bed. I sit up.

"Sorry Swan, I got to go." He apologizes.

"At least let me go to the docks with you." I say.

He sighs. "Fine."

I smile.

We arrive at the docks and I shiver a bit. It was cold but not cold enough for the water to freeze yet. Killian lets his mother out the car and we both head down the cold concrete path to the actual docks.

"You better take care of him ok." I say.

"Y-yes of course I will." Killian's mother says. Killian rolls his eyes.

We start walking down the wooden planks of the dock and before they get on the ship I grab Killian's wrist and he turns toward me. I hand him a bag of sandwiches.

"I made you guys enough sandwiches for a week." I smile.

"Thanks love." He hugs me and I hug back. I rest my chin on his shoulder and kiss him on the neck.

"I need to go swan." He says calmly.

"I know, I'm just gonna miss you."

"I told you, I'll be ok. Here." He takes off his shell necklace and puts it around my neck then he pulls a bigger conch shell out of his coat.
"You'll be able to hear me when I talk into this so IF something happens you'll know." He says.
I hold the necklace and smile. "Ok." I smile.
He kiss me on the head and walks onto the Jolly Roger. He wheels in the anchor and stands in front of the wheel and turns the boat around.

I smile and wave as the ship fades off into the horizon. After it disappears I walk back to my car and sigh. My phone vibrates and Its a call from David. I answer, "Hello?"

"Hey, who broke into the library? I was asleep and my phone was off." He says.

"It was Killian's mom."

"Wait, Hook's mom is in town? Why is this the first I'm hearing this?"

"Dad, she just came here to ask for his help. Its kind of a long story actually."

"Well is he ok?"

"Yeah, he is on a trip with her now." I say with a sigh.

"Oh, for how long?"

"Two months or so." I say and I start missing Killian a bit more.

"He's leaving for that long? Did he tell you?" He said protectively.

"Yeah he did. I'll fill you in later, I just need to get home." I say while leaning on my car.

"Ok, call me when you are ready." He says and he hangs up.

I slide my phone into my back pocket. I sigh and run my fingers through my hair.

Its gonna be a long two months.

Author's note: Hey lovelies! I've got a lot of good ideas for the next upcoming chapters, sadly I'm not good at writing fillers so I'm going to skip ahead 29 days, my sincerest apologies. (I may add them at some point I'm not sure)
