The Treasure

Hair isn't perfect as Rapunzel,
Skin isn't like Snow White.
Body ain't like a Greek goddess,
You won't fall for me at first sight.

But I'm much more than the colour of my hair,
I'm much more than the clothes I wear.
Sure, I don't have a flawless face
But I am beautiful in my own ways.

I am a treasure hidden in an ordinary box,
Safe, secured and protected with locks
And they will open only to those deserving hands,
Who haven't sinned and have no evil plans.

I am a mysterious little ordinary box,
Surrounded by attractive and desirable ones
The ones who get chosen first.
Who are just a prey to greed and lust.

Alas beauty fades with age,
The attractive box won't be the same.
But I will always shine within.
Because the treasure is in my soul and not in my skin.
