What is life all about?

CHAPTER 1

"Good morning dear" my mother whispered in a lovely tune.
"Good morning mom"  I replied in a sleepy manner as I always hated Mondays.
"Mom?"
"Yes Dear?" She replied as she was exiting my room.
"Can I skip school today?"
"Why Dear? Is Everything alright?"
"No....Its not like that..."
"No Dear not today. You already missed your school last week"
"But mom...."
"No buts dear. Be ready in 15 and meet me down for the breakfast"
"Fine mom" she left my room and I walked towards the bathroom, looking at the  bathroom mirror I thought, "Yes, they all are right. Maybe I am good for nothing?"

Now you all will be thinking what am I talking about? Yes, you are right. Its about my school and yes, I am the nerdy girl of my school although I am Excellent in academics, but when it comes to life,I am always considered
"good for nothing"
"Shirley!! Whats taking you so long? The breakfast is ready" my mom's voice interrupted as I was lost in my thoughts.
"I'll be down in 5"

**Five minutes later**

"What took you so long?" I felt little anger in her tone.
"The shower was not working" I lied
"what happened to shower?"
"mom!! I am getting late" I said in the hope to change the subject.
"Okay, so the breakfast is ready better you eat it fast as I am waiting outside.
"Okay" I said as I took a bite of my banana pancake.

**Ten minutes later **

"Lets go" I said as I buckled my seatbelt.

**Twenty minutes later**

"Take care dear and study hard" mom said in a concerned voice.
"Will do mom"
"Bye dear"
"Bye mom"

**A few minutes later**
**In the school hallway**

"Hi Shirley" I heard a very shrill voice from behind and I turned to face my best friend.
"Hi Jade" I replied in a very excited way.

Meet Jade Fields. She is one of those persons I can trust my life upon. She is my friend since we were in kinder garden. she is the best person when I am in problem and very helpful but a total pain in ass.

"Whats up with you this morning?"
"Its Nothing" I lied.
"Really?" she investigated.
"Sure" I lied again.
"You seem like you are hiding something from me?" She questioned.
"Okay fine, I lied"
"That is fine, you know that you can tell me anything" She said in a genuine manner.
"Actually the thing is...."
"What??"

"What the Fu*k?" A deep, husky masculine voice Interrupted our conversation.
"I already told you its over"
"but how can you end it alone?" A girl spoke to him with tears in eyes.
"I told you it would not last for long, it was just fun" He shouted on her.
"Fun?? You think that love fun? No Mr. Parker... You are so wrong." The girl said as she talked away from him.

"well that was intense" Jade spoke.
"Hmmmm" I replied.
"He is such a play boy, he changes girls like his socks." She said.
"Well that is the only problem" I spoke as I was lost in thoughts.
"what do you mean by that?" Jade seemed confused.
"Well you know...."
"Better you speak fast"
"I....I...I have crush on him"
"what did you say just now? I think I heard something wrong." she was taken aback by my words.
"Yes, I have crush on charlie parker."
