They must have been walking two hours or so, the sun had already took it's place on the bright blue, that held no clouds this morning. It was beautiful with the warm morning sun piercing through the trees, but they'd never fully let it in. With the sound of the birds seemingly everywhere and the light breeze that would make the leaves rustle, everything seemed so untouched.. so peaceful, like this forest had never seen the terror, the remaining ones call life nowadays.
"It's beautiful.", the redneck broke the silence. Clementine blinked a few times, his words kicked her out of her thoughts and into reality again.."yeah..it is"
"Makes ya think of some ol' times, when ta world used to be what it used to be..", he said, looking around, searching for nothing at all.. She knew exactly what he meant and it threw her mind back to some repressed, but never forgotten memories..better times, happy times. Not wanting to think about that stuff right now, she tried to lighten up the mood, "Wow..didn't know a muscular, careless looking redneck could be such a big softie inside, never mind.", she smirked up to her right and he couldn't help but smirk back that she'd just called him a redneck. "Enough brat.", he said without any seriousness at all.
"We still even following her track?", Clem asked looking on the ground. "Yah, but it's faided."    "Maybe we should head back for now.. just an idea, you know.", she stared in the distance, not seeing anything they haven't seen in the last hour. "Yah, maybe we should.." Clementine looked up at him, surprised he agreed just like that. 'Maybe he realized that we're not going to find her like that too.'

It's almost noon when they made it back. "Where were you two?", Rick approached them, just as they arrived. "Didn't Dale tell ya?", Daryl stopped infront of Rick, his voice a little tired, a little annoyed as he sat down his crossbow. "He did, three hours ago.. what happened to going together in the morning, with more people, covering more ground and stuff?!"
"Ya all were still sleepin, except for er an since we hadn't anythin else ta do we decided ta make a first run.."
"Well you could have just waited, till everyone's awake and we would have gone together..now we just wasted time waiting for you.", Rick said in his polite tone again cause he was Rick.. "Why haven't ya gone on ya own, looking for er?!", Daryl contered.  "We thought maybe you found her already, then it would just have been a waste of time again.."  Not knowing what to say to that, Daryl just walked away letting Rick stand by himself cause he was Daryl..

Clem's POV

After Rick and Daryl's little argument about our walk this morning, I went back into the RV to check on AJ.
A blonde woman, who's name I didn't catch, sat on a chair beside his little selfmade bed watching him. The little one looked at me and the corners of his mouth tugged into a big smile, his eyes sparkled, "Clem", he said really sweet. The blonde looked up at me.
"Hey there, lil' goofball.", I said picking him up. She smiled at us kindly. "How did ya sleep?", I looked in his big eyes, rocking him back and forth. He just gurgled something none of us could really understand, but I know it meant that he slept good. We both laughed and I tickled his sides, then AJ laughed too. "I'm Andrea by the way.", she said in a soft voice. I nodded "Clementine.. and this is AJ.", I gestured with my head. "He must be hungry.", she smiled at him. "Just came in to take care of that.", I grabbed my backpack, sitting down at the small table, AJ sat on my lap. I opened it up and rummaged through the dirty thing. I finally found the formula. The font was faided, "Baby" was the only thing you could still read, not even fully. Andrea handed me a spoon "Thanks", I nodded short. AJ was more than willing to eat, eagerly he chewed a bit, even though there wasn't much to chew. It didn't took long and it was all gone, "Hungry little goofball, ain't you?", I giggled under my breath. The door flew open, a grumpy looking Daryl stepped in. When he saw us his expression suddenly softened, a smile ghosting over his lips for a second. "Hey there."
"Hey.", I said playing with AJ in my lap. Daryl looked at him and Alvin Junior looked back. A little shy at first, but when he realized Daryl was no danger he moved his hands uncoordinated in the air, like trying to wave over at Daryl. The redneck waved back, his eyes lightening up with joy.

3rd person

"So..got any plans? Somethin special in mind....?", he was trying to make conversation after their little waving battle. "Dunno..I'm thinking about just moving on, like we always did. Not really searching for anything at all.....just surviving, I guess. It works..somehow.", she whispered the last part. Clem was sure she wanted to move on, quick as possible. It was best for AJ, he didn't need the same shit in his life as her..growing close to people, learning to live with them, love them, lose them.......
They were good on their own, they're not desperate for help from some unfamiliar creeps or shit. They would make it, they always do. Hardly sometimes, but they would. She told herself over and over again that more people would just mean more trouble.. Less food, more backs to watch, more weight on her feet that they really did not need in this world. But truth be told, it was more like she was trying to convince herself, fighting a mental battle inside. Who would have guessed it's Clementine who's the most uncertain here. Scared as fuck of letting someone in again.
