Novembe is almost over and, i'm on my period. It honestly sucks to have your period in a mental hospital.
At least i'm not that moody. Personally I don't think i'm that moody on my period. I mean but who knows really.
I've sort of also been avoiding all physical contact with Kevin and that's mostly because on my period I feel a bit insecure.
Also I've been avoiding eye contact and usually when Kevin and I are speaking I look at my feet because when i'm on my period my face starts to break out.
Today I am in the seating area with everyone else. Kevin hasn't come here yet so I take a seat by the book shelf. I take out a random book. The book is called The very hungry caterpillar by Eric Carle.
I begin to read, In the light of the moon...
"What you reading?" I look up from the page to see Kevin staring down at me.
I look away back to the book and respond. "The very hungry caterpillar."
Kevin takes a seat next to me and begins to speak again. "Read it to me." I hesitate for a moment but decide that I might as well.
"Okay... In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf." I flip to the next page. Kevin looks like a little kid right now.
"One Sunday morning the warm sun came up and pop!" I look up at Kevin who is really focused on the book. "Out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry Caterpillar."
I look up and notice there is someone else listening. A tall hairy man. He is standing in front of us holding a small blanket and listening to me read.
The man catches Kevin's attention to and I think it makes Kevin annoyed. "Go away Billy, she's reading to me." Kevin says with a raised voice.
Billy glares at Kevin. "NO! I WANT TO HEAR A CATERPILLAR!" Billy screams.
Before I can try to help Kevin gets up and grabs Billy's blanket. Kevin then proceeds to wrap it around Billy's neck and choke him.
"KEVIN!" I scream.
The whole room is loud. People are screaming, crying and even laughing.
I see two big guards come in running towards Kevin and almost dead Billy. As soon as Kevin sees them he puts his hands up and steps away from Billy.
Billy drops to the ground with a loud smack.
The guards grab Kevin and bring him back to his room. They didn't even need to use any force, Kevin just calmly went back with them.
Two nurses come rushing in to Billy's side. They check if Billy is alive. Thankfully he is. They get him on a stretcher and take him out the room.
The room goes quiet and everyone is staring at me. Kristen Hofcord begins to slowly walk towards me with her hands out in front of her. When she knows that I am not a threat she takes a few sheets of paper and begins to wright.
~Look what happened. I told you already before Kevin is a bad man but you didn't listen now look where it got you... and Billy.~
I sigh and take the paper from her. I too begin to wright. ~To me Kevin isn't like that. Kevin is nice to me. Maybe he doesn't like Billy.~
She shrugs and takes the paper back. ~No he's just pure evil man. How was Billy supposed to defend himself? Especially against Kevin.~
I sigh again and then a feeling in my gut tells me to look up at the door and I do and as I am looking up Kevin is walking back into the room. Only he looks different.
He's got cuts on his face and he looks like he just traveled through hell and back. I quickly get up and run towards him.
"Kevin! What happened?" I say while gently touching his face.
"The guards man. They beat the shit out of me." He says his voice a bit raspy.
I get angry.
I know there is nothing I can do but i'm gonna try.
I march out the room and into the hallway where the guards usually chill. Kevin tried to stop me but I slipped away anyways.
"Hey you! Stupid guards! Beating up Kevin like that!?" The guards laugh and that just angers me even more.
I approach them and slap one of them across the face hard. He looks angry. He grabs me by the throat and begins to choke me.
I can't breath.
I see Kevin start beating on the other guard and so I wrap my legs around the guard choking me. I begin to squeeze and squeeze and I feel the guards grip getting looser.
I laugh and he finally lets go. I drop to the floor hard.
I squirm on the floor from the pain that I feel and i try to regain concentration. I see Kevin still attacking the guard, but his attention is on me.
The guard I just hassled begins to crawl on top off me. He begins to remove my clothing.
"STOP! STOP! DON'T TOUCH ME! STOP!" I scream out but he doesn't stop.
Kevin hears me and he knows i'm in distress. I think he decides to stop going easy on his target because he takes the guard he's fighting by the hand and breaks the guards wrist.
Then he quickly runs over to the guard and me and kicks the guard right in the rib cage. I hear a loud crack and the guard passes out cold.
I crawl away desperately. Kevin quickly grabs me and holds me tight.
"You wanna get out of here?" He asks with a low voice. I nod my head in response.
"Okay, then follow me and everything I do."
Kevin gets up and I follow sluggishly. He sneaks right past the nurses work room and to the main hall. He looks back at me to see if i'm following.
We get to the reception desk and Kevin slickly crawls underneath it and then moves towards the front doors.
Surprisingly I am able to keep up with Kevin. We make it out the door and run. Luckily there aren't many surveillance cameras otherwise that would be much harder.
We make it to busy streets. Kevin turns around to face me with a large smile. He looks happy.
I hug Kevin tightly.
We made it out of the hospital.
We are free.
