So I'm not exactly your average teenager. My life has never been normal. It all started when I was ten and got offered a job to help my single mother. That's how I ended up at Star Huntress. For the last seven years I've been working my butt off as a model.
I'm sure that you've seen those photograph studios at the mall; the ones where they take pictures of families and kids? At nine years old, my mother wanted professional photos of me for our Christmas cards and set up a photo shoot at our local mall's studio.
When the photographer sent us my pictures, he added an extra attachment. It was an ad for Star Huntress. The now extremely popular apparel store had just been starting up back then and needed child models. The photographer had apparently sent the pictures to the brand and they wanted to recruit me.
Now, seven years later, the brand is going strong and has no shortage of models in any department.
As for me, being one of the chain's first, I was now the most important and well known. I walked the runways and practically had a decision in everything I wore (I didn't just wear what they put me in). These days, I was more famous than Eleanor Calder and almost as famous as Miranda Kerr.
I guess you could say that I had a perfect life; I've never been extremely social- so missing childhood friends was less than a minor downfall, and my mother is married again.
It was only recently that I realized I'd missed out on so much of my life due to my occupation. It didn't bother me much, but as a young child there was always something I couldn't wait to experience; love.
