<David>

I got off of my plane and made my way to get my luggage. Their wasn't many people in the airport here, unlike L.A.
I grabbed my black bag off of the return, and heard my phone go off.

Alex: Did you make it?

I rolled my eyes and replied.

Nah my plane crashed. Im slowly dying.

I stood there looked at phone, when an arm reached in front of me.
"Sorry man," he said softly. He had tan skin, and dark hair.

"You're good dude."
He smiled and put his backpack on.
"Where ya coming from?"
"L.A."
"Oh sweet, what brings you here?"
I looked down at my phone, Liza's picture as the back ground.
"I'm looking for my girlfriend."
He nodded.
"My girlfriend just moved back here from L.A."
I nodded and shoved my phone into my back pocket.
"Well I better get going," I said tightly gripping the straps of my bag.
"Nice meeting you, I'm Todd by the way."
He stuck his hand out to shake mine.
"David," I said shaking it.

"Welcome to Texas David."

<Liza>

I was so sore. My body hurt and it hurt to be touched.
I slowly sat up in my- his bed. My head pounded.
I gripped the sheets and looked around the brae white room.
Toddy was gone, yet again. Probably to go cheat, or steal bags from the airport.
He did that far to often. He would steal people's things from the bag return because he couldn't seem to afford things himself.

I was barely able to stand. My feet hit the cold wooden floor, and I heard the door open.
"Shit," I mumbled under my breath.

"Baby! I'm home!"
He voice boomed through the walls causing my headache to get worse.
I walked into the kitchen where he had the bag sitting.
"Hi babe, how'd you sleep?"
I focused on the ground.
"Fine," I said sharply.
He smiled and made his way over to me and pulled me into his chest.
I winced at the pain letting out a small shriek.
He pulled away.
"Are you bruised from last night?"

How could he ask me such awful questions? He knew what he did to me. He knew how badly he hurt me, but acted like I enjoyed it.

"Very," I shot.

"Oh. Well...  I'm going out later. I'll be back tomorrow." He kissed my forehead and walked into his room.
Tears stung my face.
My chest was so pained that I couldn't breathe.
It was a panic attack.
I hadn't had one in two years.

I found my self breathing heavily on the floor.

I need to get out of here.

I struggled to pull myself off the floor and to my feet. I grabbed my jacket and ran out of the door, tears streaming down my face.
I felt my throat closing up as I ran out to the parking lot.

I breathed in through my nose and out through my mouth, slowing my heart rate.

My car keys were in my jacket pocket and i pulled them out quickly.
Toddy had now probably realized I was gone.

I drove like hell towards my parents house.
I gripped the wheel as tears fell onto my shirt.
They got so bad that I had to pull over on the side of the highway.
I pushed the flasher button and got out of the car.

"Someone, please just come take me away from here."

I looked towards the busy highway.
One foot after the other, tears streaming.
I waited for the next car to get closer.
I took one big step into the middle of the road.
The lights got brighter, and I closed my eyes tightly.

I heard horns go off and tires squeal. The smell of burning rubber filled my nostrils.
I opened my eyes to see a car turned sideways, the passenger door facing me, smoke rising off the tires.

The drivers side door opened, and out stepped a taller figure.
As it came into the light, tears began to fall again.

"David..."
