Chapter 16 - Lies

y/n's pov

My head stings when I wake up.

"Ouch..." I help myself to sit up.

"Oh, you're awake?" A man entered the room.

I don't remember anything. I don't know how I get here. Neither do I remember where am I.

"Who are you?" I eye at him suspiciously.

"Do you remember anything?" He asked.

"No..." I try to recall but nothing comes to my mind.

"I'm your boyfriend, your fiancee. Have you forgotten about me?" He removes the hoodie from his head.

"I really can't remember....." I shake my head.

"It's sad to hear this, but don't worry, I'll help you remember. Trust me." He smiles.

"How can I trust you?" I tug onto the blanket tightly.

"See this." He throws a photo in front of me.

I pick it up with my shaking hands, flipping it over. In that photo was us, hugging each other, smiling too.

"We might be best friends only. This photo doesn't prove anything." I said.

"I knew you wouldn't believe me. I have another photo." He throws another one.

This is a photo of him kissing me, at a fancy restaurant.

"That was taken on our first date, my official proposal for you to be mine. Don't you remember?" He explained.

"I really don't.... I'm sorry if it hurts your feelings. I really can't remember..." I put those photos down, feeling helpless.

"It's okay, baby. I'll help you remember. Believe me." He comes closer and give me a warm hug.

"Is he telling the truth? Why do I feel that something is wrong?" I pondered.

"Come, I've prepared lunch." He gently grabs my hand, leading me out of the room.

While walking past many rooms, he introduced each of them to me. Just then, I realised that I forgot to ask an important question.

"Erm... Can I ask you something?" To which, he stops.

"Sure, go ahead." He answered. 

"How did I end up like this? I mean, why did I lost all my memories?" I asked.

"Do you really wish to know?" He questions back.

Hesitating for a while, I nod my head. His face turns dull, sighing.

"You....."

"Is this a postal code?" HoSeok suggested.

"Postal codes don't look like this." Hyungwon added.

"It must be a code. Let's try to track it back to the previous clues." Yugyeom clicks open the clues.

"Maybe it links to this?" EunBi points out.

"Wait! These are words!" Yugyeom exclaimed.

"They are mirrored." I.M noticed.

"Exactly." Yugyeom relied, rewriting it.

RISES FULL BEFORE THE MOON

"If we use the number and put in order..." Yugyeom continued, leaving the others in shock.

BEFORE THE FULL MOON RISES

"It's this!!" Yugyeom shows everyone the completed puzzle.

"Before the full moon rises?" Everyone reads it out in unison.

"Jungkook died before the full moon rises!" JB said.

"But there was no full moon that day..." Youngjae recalled.

"Then... what does this mean?" Suga questioned.

Even though the atmosphere seems calm and relaxed, each of them are feeling frustrated and tensed. No one dared to pick on those most sensitive ones, which includes Wonho, Jimin, HoSeok, I.M and Yugyeom.

Days have past and still, there's no trace of her. Yugyeom tried to track the plate number of that van but it's not a licenced one. That leaves to nothing, no more clues.
Each day, they get more tensed up, sleeping less and didn't eat much. As a leader, JB took care of the members, along with JinYoung. EunBi and Hyungwon help to comfort the others. Waiting a few more days, finally there is a news about her on the headlines.

Y/N, DAUGHTER OF THE  RICHEST CEO, IS FOUND DEAD ON THE MOUNTAIN. POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING THIS CASE CLOSELY.
