Sages pov
The next morning I walk out in my fluffy pants and shirt that says "no one cares" i sink into the couch watching 90210 with a warm cup of hot chocolate then I see sterling Caiden and penny walk in and sit down. For a second me and Caiden lock eyes then I look away
"Um...can anyone say tension" says sterling with a light chuckle
"Oh my god shut up sterling no one asked for any input from the golden child" I said standing up in front of sterling but glaring at penny and caid "I-I can't do this" I slam my cup on the table splashing it on my hand. SHIT! I'll clean that up later" I stomp out of the room and I feel tears start to form so I move faster accidentally bumping into tanner.
"Sage" Tanner say looking into my eyes "are you alright"
"I'm fine tanner Im perfectly fine ok" I say with a hint of anger on my tongue
"Really. If you were fine you wouldn't be trying to wipe tears away" he says with a laugh " you want a hug" he says with a grin
"Thatd be really nice actually" I say giving him a small hug " I gotta get going though" I wave bye and continue to my bedroom.
Sterling Pov
"What's up with her" I say looking in her direction
" she's mad at me" says Caiden rubbing the back of his neck
"What'd you do" I say crossing my arms trying not to strangle him
"Nothing nothing" he says as he keeps glancing at penny and penny's looking at the floor
"I'll go check on her" I say standing up and walking to her room"
"Knock knock" I say walking into sages room "scoot over let's talk"
"I really don't want to talk" says sage as I close the door
"What happen, Caiden said you were mad at him" I say leaning on the back wall on her bed
"You know when tanner kissed me yesterday. Well, Caiden saw and thought I was cheating on him so in retaliation  he kissed penny" she says fiddling with her blanket which she does when she's thinking
"You want me to kick his ass" I asked about to stand up
"No no"she says pushing her hair behind her ears "I just don't know what to, I mean it's my best friend and my boyfriend what am I suppose to do" she ask
I'm fuming that jerk thinks he can do that to my sister. She's so great any guy would be lucky to have her but he goes and cheats on her and penny her best friend I expected more from her.
"Um...in my opinion as your big brother kill him I'll bury the body" I laugh at my own little joke. "But as an avenger and a responsible adult go to him talk about it make him understand and you have to try to understand. And with that I'll let you think."
Pennys pov
"So, what's up with her" I ask caid
"I told her...about the kiss" he says looking at the floor
"What what did you tell her"
"I told her I saw her kissing tanner and then I just kissed you" he said honestly I was completely surprised I didn't figure Caiden would tell anyone let alone sage.
Also when we kissed I was surprised and angry but as I thought about it more I kinda liked it the way he grabbed me so strongly maybe it could go somewhere. But how could I go that to sage.
"Maybe you guy should break up. Maybe it's a sign that you guys aren't working anymore" I say scooting closer to Caiden
"I mean I don't know we've been together for 2 years we have something I don't know if I could ever have again"
I place my hand his knee. "Why did you kiss me?" I ask
"I mean I was hurt and you were there but you are beautiful and kind and I don't know I just happened" he said looking into my eyes
"Would you do it again, kiss me I mean would you if you knew we wouldn't get in trouble" I say breathy in his ear
" I mean" he turns around so we are looking into each other's eyes I can feel his breath on my lips and his beautiful green eyes piercing into my soul. I lean in and are lips slowly touch I can feel his luscious lips on mine. I pull away and we sit there just looking at each other.
"Penny, do you like me?" He ask me and at first I don't know what to say completely dumbfounded
"I-I" I stutter "I don't know anymore. You're handsome and strong and kind and and..." I say concerned looking at my hands "and you're dating my best friend" "I. Oh my god" I say throwing my head back with a tear running down my face. "I just kissed you. I just kissed my best friend boyfriend. Oh. My. Gosh I'm the worse person in the world." I start pointing back and forth "no. Me and you no we can't happen it was wrong it was a mistake."
"Penny, I'm sorry I didn't mean to drag you into this" he stands up and grabs my hand but I yank them back I'm horrible.
Tessa pov
I'm walking through the halls and I see sterling walking out of sages room and he looks pissed "you good sterling" I ask rubbing his arm
"No my little sister is so upset and I can't help her without getting in trouble."
"Well then let's get into some trouble" i said hitting his shoulder "what happened"
"Caiden he's a douche"
"then let's prank him I mean you're super smart and i love to mess with people"
"I don't know" he says rubbing his neck
"Come on, loosen up" I said jumping up and down yanking his arm like a child "please" I said messing up his hair
"Okay, but it has to be simple and not to bad" he says smiling
"Awesome" I say kissing his cheek "let's get planning then
