"Come Back..."

Chapter 1

"Keith we have to fall back..."

"No. These guys need to die!"

"I'm coming Keith!"

"No, Lance!"

"Keith watch out!'

"NO LANCE!" Keith screamed as he rocked back and forth in the corner of his room, memories of the previous day's mission flooded his mind. Lance had taken a hit, for him. A hit so hard he'd landed himself in a healing pod. Unfortunately for Keith, he remembered everything. Lance pushing out of the way just a Galra soldier fired their blaster, Lance hitting the ground, motionless. Keith, couldn't handle it, the guy he loved more than anything was hurt, and it was all his fault. Keith heard a knock on his door.

"Keith, what's goi- oh shit!" Keith didn't look up, but he knew it was Shiro. "What's going on?" Shiro asked, sitting down next to Keith pulling him into a hug. Keith didn't answer. "Is..is this about yesterday?" The black paladin asked. The red paladin said nothing, only nodded his head as more tears fell from his eyes. "Hey, it's going to be okay, Lance has-" "NO SHIRO, IT'S NOT OKAY!" Keith responded as he stood up. "HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF FOR ME OF ALL PEOPLE, AND NOW BECAUSE OF ME HE MIGHT DIE!" He screamed. Keith's skin started tuning purple as he walked over to the wall and started punching it. "IT'S ALL MY FAULT! I'M SO STUPID! WHY GODDAMMIT WHY?!" Shiro ran up to Keith and tried to pull him away from the wall. "Why wasn't it me?" The boy whispered as he finally stopped resisting. Shiro turned Keith around.

"Keith Kogane, look at me. Lance is going to be okay, Altean medical care is some of the best there is. He's going to be okay, alright?" Keith finally wiped the tears from off his face. "Y-yeah." He replied as his skin changed back to its normal, pale color. "I'm going to train. I need something to take my mind off things." Keith said, picking up his bayard as Shiro walked out of his room. "Ok, don't work too hard." Shiro said. "Oh and Keith." Keith turned around. "Don't worry about Lance." Shiro smiled. Keith only smiled back.

Oh, well hi. I didn't think anyone would read this part ;P. But anyway, thanks so much for reading this, it took a really long time and I worked really hard on it. I know it's kinda short. So, I'm gonna trying to be consistent with posting chapters, but I'm really busy sometimes, but we'll see where it goes. Talk to ya'll soon!
