                      Chapter 1 New Me

 

Hi my name is Lynn I just moved to L.A. from Kansas I know what your thinking "Why Lynn your not in Kansas anymore" I know that but I still do wish I was. My mom and dad got a new job so my mom, dad, sister and I picked up and moved. Of course like every younger sister is they are unpopular while the older one is so popular she had to get another phone cause she had so many contacts. I had to start at a new high school for my junior year while my sister Elizabeth started college at UCLA. So of course since I'm going to start a new school I decided to start with a new me.

I woke up to the sound of my sister screaming "Lynn do you know where my computer is", panicked Elizabeth, I rolled over and mumbled "did you check in your box that says electronics" "oh yea", chucked Elizabeth. Sometimes I wonder how she graduated college. Since I was already awake I decided to get up and get dressed.

I put on pants and a blue Hollister shirt and threw on black converse. "Where are you going", asked Elizabeth, I turned and saw my sister looking at her magazine "I'm going to the mall", I replied she looked at me "I'm going to meet me at my car now", snapped Elizabeth. I did as she said I didn't want to make the beast angry. I got in the passenger seat and buckled up my sister had a white Toyota truck. We started to drive "I'm going to stop at Starbucks do you want something", asked Elizabeth, I nodded yes so she pulled through the drive thru "I will have two grande vanilla beans please", said Elizabeth the cashier replied with," that will be $10." Elizabeth drove up to the window and paid then left and drove to the mall.

"Ok so you can go on your own and meet up here at 2:00", said Elizabeth then left towards Hollister. I wondered around and found an Aeropostale. I walked in and went over to the skirts and dresses. I saw this

really cute blue floral skater dress so I tried it on. "Wow that looks nice on you", said one of the employees and let me tell he was pretty hot his name tag read Jacob "Thanks", I smiled back then he left ugh I shouldn't have smiled. I paid for the things and left the store and went to journeys. There I got some black toms, grey Sperry's, new black converse, and black and white vans. By the time I was done I had to meet my sister up to leave. "Hurry up kiddo I don't want to be late for dinner", yelled Elizabeth from two feet away my sister sometimes was so annoying but I guess I have to love her........right.

We arrived just in time for dinner my moms famous meatloaf. "Lynn are you excited for your new school", asked my mom I could tell she was trying to make it sound amazing but it wasn't. "Oh you know it", I replied sarcastically while stuffing my face with meatloaf. We didn't talk much since my dad worked late we never had anything to talk about.

I walked up to my sisters and mines room. One side of the room was pink and mine was purple I was also near a huge window with a beautiful view of....my neighbor's house. "I'm going to take a shower", I yelled from the bathroom and started the shower. When I got out I had a text on my phone so I got dressed in my rugged volleyball shirt and shorts and read the text *Dang girl u take long showers* I freaked out I screamed then of course my sister runs in "Lynn did you see a spider again", sighed Elizabeth I shook my head and held my phone out to her. "Oh that is the boy next doors number I gave him yours and showed him a pic of you that I have on my phone", laughed Elizabeth I'm glad she thinks this is so funny "You could have at least told me about this", I said while throwing a wash cloth at her, sometimes I hated her. She skipped out and I braided my hair and plopped down on my bed I decided to text this guy back *So ur my new neighbour* then in a second I got a text back *Yup and FYI don't ever try to talk to me during school I have a rep to protect * ugh of course he is a total jerk I would have called it *gee thanks for the warning I mean I would I want to talk to u* I couldn't believe that I just went that I felt like a jerk now then I got a text that basically changes my life *well from what I can see from my window u look pretty cute but still u look like a nerd so yea....and every girl would want to me* he called me cute then I remembered he called me a nerd. I looked out my window and saw him he had amazing tousled dirty blonde hair and from what I could tell blue eyes and Omg he was shirtless and he just saw me staring *you like what you see or do u just have a staring problem * I had to think of something good to write back *Idk u just don't seem like my type is all* I hope that is good enough he texted back *what handsome isn't your type* I didn't know what to say so I said one thing *I gt bye* and went to bed forcefully.
