The Bad Things

Tord's P.O.V

     Nothing happened, just silence, dead silence. I waited but there still was nothing, what was there to do? What will happen, what do they plan on doing with me? I looked around one last time, yup it's nothing but pure darkness. It was dark because it was nighttime and of courses they weren't going to keep the light on just for me. I was tied to a chair sitting in the middle of darkness, nothing to do.

     I kept thinking about what could happen like what's the worst possible thing that could happen, actually I can think of a lot of bad things that could happen now. I wasn't going to go to sleep because I was to busy looking warily around. There really was nothing, tried to stay awake but it was hard when all I could do was sit there.

     I shifted around to see if the ropes that broke earlier was able to help me get free, no luck. I shifted around more before hearing footsteps. I decided it was a good idea to stay still and freeze, I tried to look around harder but that didn't do much. I heard the footsteps coming closer to where I was, they made it to where I was and I felt someone touch my arm. They pulled me up from the chair with a lot of force which broke the ropes.

     The person then tugged on my arm like they were going to bring me somewhere. The person stopped when we were outside, there was a full moon and all of the stars were out, there was just enough light so that I could see who brought me here. I looked next to myself and saw no one, I looked to my other side and also saw no one. I looked behind, in front, above and around myself still finding no one. Who brought me here and why am I here?

     I looked around one last time to see if there were any clues. The door was open so I decided to head back in, it was freezing outside and all I had on were normal clothes, I didn't have my hoodie and I had short sleeves. When I walked up to the door it automatically shut and locked me out, I froze and just stood there, I looked around still no one.

     I walked over to a place where I was out in the open, I looked around one last time, as you can expect nothing. I sighed and walked around before hearing someone talking, it took me a while to notice they were talking to me. It seemed like they were talking about . . . . life? It seemed like they were right behind me but no one was there. 

"Its ok, you're free now because of me, you can wonder around free . . . under one condition . . . you come with me for a while and do me some favors." 

     I didn't know what to say, they helped me get free and they seemed kind of nice but they're a stranger and I can't trust them. I looked behind myself as quickly as I could to just get a glimpse of the person. It was hard to tell what the gender was and they had a black cloak covering their whole body except their face and shoes. The cloak wrapped around their body, they seemed to have a kind of glow but I'm not sure because I barley got a view of the person.

"I saw how you look so there is no point on hiding now." They then asked me to describe how they looked and when I finished describing what I saw they showed them self. They looked exactly how I said they did, the person walked over to a table and placed their head on it.

"Your name is Tord right?" "Yeah, how do you know that?" "That doesn't matter now, so since I know your name you can know mine but thats after you do me those favors." "I'll think about it." "Ok, now there is something I need to tell you." "Which is?"

     The person walked away from the table and sat down on the ground "If you ever feel like you've lost everything, then just think of the bad things." I thought about what they said for a while. "And how is that information going to help me?" "It doesn't have to but you will know when you will need it." "Can you explain it so I can understand it at least?" "Fine, basically if you feel at your worst then what most people do is they think of the good things which either make them strong or weaker, so what do you think will happen if you think about the bad things?" "I guess that's good information."

     I looked over at the person and said "ok, I agree, I'll help you with those favors and you can take me to whatever place." Even though I could barely see their face I could tell they were planing something or they were trying to make me think that. They gave me an evil grin and walked over to me. "Its ok Tord you made the right choice." Their voice sent shivers down my spine.
