                                                                               His Butler, Curious

Ciel sat on his bed, toying with the Knight's chess piece. How could he attend to business after what just happened. He wanted to talk to Sebastian, but he also wanted sweets. He scooted off the side of his bed and made his way toward the kitchen. It was about time for Bard to be making lunch preparations so, naturally, he wouldn't be there.  He scaled the hall like an expert. There was no way he would be caught now; well, unless a demon from hell was bound to him by contract. However, he wasnt worried about that now. He silently moved into the large kitchen and looked for the desserts. The only way he could reach the cabinets was by standing on a wobbly stool. He knew in his head that it was a bad idea, but he wanted sweets. He reached as far as he could, but the cabinet was just unreachable. He heard a chuckle behind him. "You know master, if you're gonna steal sweets from your own kitchen you're going to have to try harder than that."  Ciel turned to see Bard laughing by the door. "You know, Bard, if you were actually doing your job I'd not be hungry." Ciel turned back only to have his foot slip from under him. He could feel himself falling, but something hard stopped him from hitting the floor. He opened his tightly shut eyes to see Bard looking down at him. He smiled down at Ciel sarcastically. "Ciel, if you're really looking for sweets, I know just where you can look." It made Ciel's heart flutter for some reason. He didn't even like Bard, but the way his arms felt against his back seemed right.

Cial wanted to curtly tell him that he was not be called his name by a servant, but the words wouldn't choke up.

 To be continued...
