He often bit his tongue in fear of saying something wrong. The horrific thought of something slipping out, would be a disaster. One single slur, sound or even a cough, would cost him his life. He had been in this situation before, but it never had gotten this bad. He had always somehow managed to advert it, if only just by a hair, but this time luck was not on his side. How could he let this happen? Being captured by a demon, even he knew only amateurs fall for this kind of trickery. "What would Sam be doing at this moment?". Dean asked himself. " Maybe I could call on him for help?". Dean loosed the rope tied around his wrists and they dropped to the floor.

"Well Dean, I've found a friend for you to play with". The demon burst through the door with a gagged person. They had a bag on their head, so he couldn't tell what gender they were. The demon tied the person to a chair next to him, and the bag was taken off. Dean looked in surprise, over at the unconscious body. It was a young girl. "Why would demons capture a young girl?" He thought to himself. He got out of the chair and ran, then stopped. "Should I save her?" He pondered. He had to make a quick decision.

"What the hell?!" the girl exclaimed. She had woken up, and was obviously quite shocked at her current state. "YOU!" she looked at dean with fury in her bright blue eyes. Dean freaked out, but calmly explained the situation.

"I swear I didn't do this to you. I'm as much a victim as you are-"

" Your Dean Winchester!" He was cut off by her strangely calm voice. Dean looked shocked. "How do you know my name?"

He asked with great curiosity. " There's not enough time to explain right now. Just cut me free, please."

Dean hesitantly ran toward her and loosed her ropes. "Now we run." Dean told her, before bolting off, looking for the nearest exit. She ran with him for a while then stopped, making Dean stop too.

"What are you doing?"

" I can't leave without Scarlett" She made a desperate grab for a large camouflage bag, which was successful. With the bag over her shoulder she ran with Dean where they made it out of the building successfully.

"Is Scarlett in that bag?" Dean asked the girl, panting.

" Yes, she is." At this point Dean was regretting saving this girl, thinking she was some kind of psycho, but giving her the benefit of the doubt, he let her open the bag.

She pulled out a Scarlet red compound bow, complete with arrows.

" You named your bow Scarlett?" Dean exclaimed, feeling slightly relieved. She didn't answer, but gave him a dirty look.

" You've got some explaining to do, miss?"

" Bethany" She said looking up at him, cleaning and checking her bow for scratches or dirt. " Bethany, how do you know my name?" Dean asked.

" let's just say, we have mutual friends." Dean was confused but satisfied. He had gotten out alive, and met a new, uh, friend. He had had enough for one day.

" where are your parents then?." Dean asked.

"In Australia" at this he got quite concerned. This kid must've been what, fifteen, at least, but with no parents around? He thought this was absurd, but then he remembered his childhood. " Do you have any where to stay?" Dean asked Bethany.

" No." she replied still concentrating on her bow.

" How about you stay with me and my brother?" Dean insisted. She looked up at him, and looked worried but relieved at the same time.

"Sure, if it isn't too inconvenient". She replied with a small smile on her face.

"Good".
