"Sorry, sorry," Ashley said to the girl who she had accidentally bumped into. The girl in question just squeaked out an apology, dropped to the floor of the gazebo and then started looking for something which she seemed to have dropped when they had bumped into each other, all the while ignoring Ashley.

"Here," Ashley said while also dropping down to the floor of the gazebo," let me help you."

She started to look along the floor and on the grass to help find what ever the girl had lost.

"So, what are we looking for exactly," Ashley asked. She thought that if she wanted to help out the girl properly she might want to actually find out what they were looking for.

The girl snapped her head up in shock and Ashley realized that she must be one of those small invisible girls that weren't used to getting attention from people.

"It's fine," she mumbled. Ashley had to strain her hears to catch what she said.

"It's the least I can do," Ashley insisted. The girl sighed and then looked up. She looked like she was about to cry, and Ashley couldn't help but want to comfort her. She wondered for a moment of it were her fault that the girl was so upset but she was sure that they hadn't bumped into each other that hard, at least not hard enough to cause tears.

"Thanks, I'm looking for a wand," she responded. Her voice was small and quiet and again Ashley found that she had to strain her ears just to hear her. If it were any other night Ashley would be wondering why a teenager would be carrying a wand with her but she figured it was part of her costume. She guessed that the girl was dressed as a fairy. She didn't really look like one though, she was wearing a white dress that rested just above knees and then there was glitter in her hair and on her face. There was no clue besides the wand that suggested she was a fairy.

She nodded to herself and then began to search the gazebo and the grass around it more thoroughly. She placed her hands in the grass and then started to scrounge around. It was pretty dark outside so it was hard to see, so if she wanted to find the wand she would have to feel for it instead. Her phone had a torch on it but unfortunately for her she had left it inside the venue with her mom.

After sticking her hands in the wet ground for what felt like fifteen minutes, Ashley finally found the wand. It was a simple thing much like the girl who owned it, with a wooden handle the color of chestnut- the same color of the girls hair-and the rest seemed to be a silvery, sparkly plastic like substance.

"Found it," she called out to the girl. Ashley grabbed the handle of the wand and started waving it around to signal to her that she had found the lost item.

"Hey-" the rest of her words were drowned out by a huge bang that seemed to come from the wand. Bright, red beautiful sparks flew from it and into the sky, the blast then seemed to take the shape of a big heart with the words "I love you in the middle".

"Fireworks,"Ashley said to no one in particular. Fireworks had blasted out of the wand and into the sky. A wand had blasted fireworks. That was magic, she was certain of it. Ashley couldn't believe her eyes, something like this was just downright impossible and she knew her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. How could they there was no one around here except her, the other girl and a couple nearby. There was no one around who could've released a firework so logically speaking, even though this whole situation was anything but logical, it had to have come from the wand.

Speaking of the other girl...

Ashley turned to face her only to see her running around in a panicked frenzy shouting out profanities and shouting out a jumbled mess of words.

"No no no no no no no no," the girl yelled. She was so caught up in her panic that she didn't even notice that Ashley was walking towards her.

"What the hell was that?!" Ashley exclaimed. She felt excited and giddy over the prospect of finding something so wacky, so out of this world, so amazing that she couldn't even hide the excitement from her voice. If she wasn't crazy then that meant there was magic. Real life magic. Magic that could change her life but that would have to wait because as soon as the girl lay eyes on her she panic reached new heights.

"I'm not gonna hurt you," Ashely tried to calm the girl down but it was no use as the girl turned around and started to run away. She would've gotten away if it weren't the bad choice of direction. The girl had turned around and run straight into one of the pillars supporting the gazebo and knocked herself out cold. In any other moment Ashley would've laughed but right now she was still reeling from her discovery of magic.

She had a magic wand in her hand which seemed to belong to the girl who was lying down on the grass and she didn't know what to do it or the girl.

"Ryan," Ashley whispered to herself. Yes, she would call Ryan and then everything would be okay except she didn't have her phone with her and the only way she would be able to get Ryan was if she left the girl or whatever she was here, lying on the grass in the open.

"Well it's not like she's going anywhere," Ashley said to reassure herself. If she didn't go now to get Ryan then the girl would wake up and everything would go to shit. Ashley glanced around nervously, there didn't seem to be anymore people coming towards the gazebo but just to be sure Ashley decided to hide the body. She lifted the girl up by the arms and dragged her over to the nearest bush and left her there.

"Oh god, I'm going to hell aren't I," she sighed and put the wand down next to the girl and then turned away from the unconscious body of the girl and ran into the dance hall to find Ryan.
