I wake up to the sound of dripping. Creepy. Once I woke up I couldn't go back to sleep. But all I hear is drip, drip, drip. So then I try to focus on Marks breathing.
...inhale...
...exhale...
...inhale...
...exhale...
(Drip)
...inhale...
(Drip)
...exhale...
(Drip, drip)
"Ugh!" I moan loudly. I try to wriggle free of Mark's grasp. Just as I think I'm home free, his arm snakes around my waist and he mumbles my name.
Awe how sweet! (Drip) leave it to a faucet to ruin this perfect moment. I struggle, making him pull me closer.
"I love you. So much." His sentences come out broken and mumbled. But it's still so sweet!
I mentally talk myself out of trying to get out of bed, not that I could decide against it. So I create a mind link with Jeff, who decided to stay the night on the couch.
...Jeff...
...Jeff...
...Jeff!...
What?! Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?!
No duh!
Then leave me alone!
I need you to turn off the faucet in the hall bathroom, it's bothering me and I can't get up. I'm being held under Mark's restraint.
Go away.
Jeff, please?!
No.
...Jeff...
No.

Fine!
I hear his footsteps thud in the hallway, a door slam, the squeaking of the faucet, another slam, and loud footsteps that gradually grow softer.
But no dripping! Yay!
Thanks Jeff!
Get bent.
Goodnight.
...
Goodnight Jeff!
If I say goodnight to you, will you go back to sleep?
Yes.
Ugh, fine.
I'm waiting...
Goodnight.
I smile and break the connection. Just for fun I lift Marks arm off of me. He hugs me tighter burying his face in the back of my neck. "Love you Alison." He mumbles.
I smile and fall asleep the bet way possible, in his arms.
