He had black hair and deep green eyes which reminded me of my old cat when I was 6. He was tall and not shy at all.
"Did you move in the new house?"
All I could bring out was
"Yeah, and do you live around here? ."
"Cool, yeah I actually do. By the way I'm Jason"
"Nice to meet you, I'm Sara."
I smiled. I was to tired to talk but I didn't want to be rude.
"So, what are you planning this Summer?"
What kind of question was that? Probably I just would sit here for the next 24 hours and do nothing.
" I don't know, I just moved here and there is still a lot of work to do on the house. How about you?"
"My family and I are driving to our lake house. It's about 4 hours from here."
I didn't really know him but he seemed nice. At least there was some person in this new neighbourhood to talk to.
"I wish we had a lake house somewhere far away", I said bored. I started at the rock and sketched the wholes with my fingers.
"You don't like this place?"
I couldn't say I don't like it , because I just moved in.
"I don't know. It's the first time I moved, after I got my little sister. It feels kind of weird you know the whole attention of your parent is with your little cute sister and the big one knows what do to."
I took a breath. He opened his mouth but didn't say anything. Of course he wouldn't know how it felt, being left alone. I understood that Tracy was a baby but a little attention. We talked for a little while about the school and his life. I told him how it was back at my old place how I had only a few friends and I didn't want to hang out with the cool crowed even though my friends were. I like being by myself. The sun was shining in my face and I could feel it burn. I didn't put sunscreen on it and probably by now it was red. I looked up at the big houses closest to the sea. Then I said
"These big houses are really nice. Probably you have to earn your whole life to buy one of these", I said ironic.
"Yeah I think that's true, all those nerdy kids and rich families from my school life in those"
He didn't look at me. He was looking at the shiny sea. I turned back around. There was a house I liked the most out of them all. Its roof was made of light brown wood and the windows were huge . The house was painted white and on its right side it had stones. Several boys were surfing the big waves when one of them started walking to us.
He looked cute with his messy wet brown hair and his surfboard in one hand. When he walked over to us he didn't say anything. He looked about as old as Jason only ten times better looking.
"Hey Tom, did you catch any good waves?"
Jason smiled and he climbed down from the rock. I still sat there and stared at that guy named Tom. The weird thing about him was that it felt like I knew him from somewhere but I didn't remember.
" Yeah actually a few. Who do you got with you?"
And that was the first time when he looked in my eyes. I never had this weird feeling in my body. It felt numb and I couldn't breath probably.
