(Y/N)'s Perspective
It's been a few months since I told Dean I was pregnant, and to say he was excited was an understatement. He has done everything in his power to make sure this baby is safe and taken care of. He's always willing to go to the store or cook dinner. As much as I love him doing this, sometimes it gets a little annoying. He won't even let me do laundry because he's afraid it will put stress on the baby. After a long talk with we made an agreement that he can start acting that way once the gender of the baby was revealed. So a few weeks later I was in the kitchen cooking dinner when Dean and Sam walked in with Bobby. "Hey Bobby, how was school?" I ask, smiling at him as I finish setting the table for dinner. He looks at me and shrugs and then heads off to his room. I frown at Dean. "Did something happen at school?" I ask Dean as I make my way around the table to him. "I don't know. He's been quite ever since we picked him up from school, but he won't tell us what's wrong." Dean says with a slight frown as he wraps his arms around me. "Oh, well how about I go talk to him. Can you and Sam finish getting dinner ready?" I ask placing my hands on his firm chest. "Yeah we can do that." He say with a smile as he leans down and presses his lips to yours. As much as you enjoyed kissing your husband, you needed to find out what's wrong with Bobby. So you break away from Dean and smile at him, as you head of stairs to Bobby's room. You make your way to his door and is about to open it, but you hear something. Is he crying? I slowly open the door to see Bobby crying into his pillow. I walk in and sit next to him on his bed. It broke my heart to see him cry like this. "Bobby?" I say softly. "What's wrong sweetheart?" I ask while putting my hand on his shoulder to turn him towards me. He looks up at me with his red puffy eyes and tears still falling down his cheeks. "Oh sweetheart," I say pulling him into my lap where he continues to cry into my chest. "Shh, it's okay baby. I'm right here," I say while rocking him back and forth. After a few minutes he finally calmed down. "Sweetheart, do you want to tell me what's wrong?" I say looking down at him. He looks up at me with his puppy dog eyes, which he gets from his uncle, and asks softly, "Do you and daddy love me?" I look at him in shock. How could he think we don't love him? Tears start to come to my eyes as I realize that I must have failed him if he thinks we don't. "Oh sweetheart of course we do, why do you think we don't?" I ask still holding him close. "Steve,in Mrs. Clarkson class, said that once his sister came that they didn't do things with him because they loved his sister more," he says as he looks back down to his lap. I was about to say something when Dean walked in.
Dean's Perspective
Once (Y/N) walked upstairs to talk to Bobby, Sam and I finished setting the table and getting everything ready for dinner. Since there was two do us we got done faster than expected. "I'm gonna go upstairs and join them," I say to Sam. "Okay," Sam says as he goes and sits on the couch and I walk upstairs to Bobby's room. It broke my heart to see him this way. He is never like this. He's always so full of life and always talking, but now he seems sad and broken hearted. I get to the door and see it cracked so I decide to listen for a second. As I'm listening I hear him ask (Y/N) if we loved him. I swear my heart stopped beating for a second after hearing that. How could he think that? He has always been loved and spoiled to, but it's mostly me that spoils him. I lean in closer to hear (Y/N) say we do and to ask him why he thinks that. After hearing his reason I decide to walk in.
(Y/N) Perspective
Once Dean walks in he sits next to me on the bee and pulls Bobby into his lap. "Bobby, I want you to know now that we will always love you, even after your baby brother or sister comes. Do you want me to tell you why Steve's parents spend so much time with his sister?" Dean asks him. Bobby simply looks at his father and nods. "It's not because they love his sister more. It's because that when you are a baby you can't do a lot of things so you have to have parents to do that. Since you are a big boy, you will be able to do things your brother or sister can't and that's why they need more attention, but it doesn't mean we love you any less. Did that make sense?" Dean asks. Bobby nods again. "Sorry for doubting you mommy and daddy," he says as he looks at his lap. "It's okay baby, everyone makes mistakes. Just know that your daddy and I will always love you no matter what," I say kissing his forehead. Dean looks at me and smiles then he leans and kisses the top of Bobby's head. Dean then pulls me in to where we are in a group. "Love you mommy. Love you daddy," Bobby says into Dean's chest. "We love you too bud. How about we go eat dinner?" Dean says as he pulls back from the hug and smiles at him. He lights up with excitement as he runs out his room and down the stairs. I look over at Dean to see him frowning and tears rolling down his cheeks. "Dean?" I say while placing my hand on his shoulder. "How can he think that we don't love him (Y/N)? We've done nothing but love him. If anything he's spoiled, well by me at least," he says with his voice breaking and his head hung as if he's getting ready to scolded. "Dean this wants are fault. He knows he we love him. It was just a misunderstanding okay?" I say moving to my hand from his shoulder to intertwine my fingers in his. "I know but I still can't help but feel like I've failed him," Dean says as he tightens his grip on my hand. I sigh. I move from the spot on the bed to my knees in front of him. "Dean you are not a failure. You are an amazing father. He adores you. I know that when these kids are born that they will love you too," I say dropping a hint in there to see if he catches it. He continues to stay quiet with his head down until his head snaps in realization. "Wait, they? We're having twins?" He says looking at me with a smile on his face and tears in his eyes. I smile at him and nod. "I found out while you on your last hunt. I figured I could surprise you," I say with tears of joy in my eyes. He pulls me in for a hug. I start to fell tears on my neck where Dean buried his head. "I'm so happy," he said with his voice breaking. I smile. "Me too." I say while rubbing his back. I pull away from him. "Why don't we go tell Sam and Bobby?" I say with a smile. He wipes away his tears and nods. "Yeah, let's do it." He says while standing up, but then helps me up. "Thank you Dean." I say. He smiles at me then walks down stairs. "We're having twins!" Dean shouts in excitement as he walks down. I chuckle then follow down the stairs.
