My forehead rests against the cool car window, my eyes fighting to stay open. The day had been long, the night even longer, my bones screamed for rest which wouldn't come soon enough. Jacob has the radio up too loud for my liking but I let him be. He had a big, goofy grin on his face, Vixy sure had left an impression on my young wolf.
And her friend has left quite an impression on me. I chew my bottom lip, trying to think of what to do about my little infatuation with the rogue wolf. It was too dangerous. No respecting alpha would be caught intangling with a rogue that has broken law. Especially if they broke it in their territory. Sage should be dead, her life should have been taken by my hand yet she's still here. For some reason this rogue is different. Because I have an idiotic infatuation. If that's even how I could describe it. More like parasitic feeling. A feeling so strong it leaves my body burning.

"You're growling." Jacob stated which made me stop. I press my lips together in a thin line, turning my gaze on him.
"I seem to be doing that a lot lately." He chuckles, looking at me for a split second before turning his eyes on the road. It was probably close to one o'clock in the morning. The streets were busy but not as busy as during the day. We were almost to the edge of the city, heading toward the compound. All I wanted to do was sleep, but the elders were waiting. God, this wasn't going to go over too well. They had questions that had no answers as of right now. Questions that need to be answered or lives will be lost.

My sanity will be lost if I do not sleep.

The thought crosses my mind briefly, bringing a small smile to my lips. My attention is drawn back to Jacob as he begins to switch the songs on the radio, finally stopping on his song of choice.
"So, how was your date with the witch?" I ask curiously. The grin on Jacob's face intensifies, it was obvious how it went, Vixy had completly intranced the boy.
"Amazing, she is so interesting. Unique. Beautiful and smart. God is she smart." Jacob looked like a teenager in love, he talked like one too which made me laugh. We spent a moment in silence before Jacobs face became quite serious.
"There was one thing I noticed though," he began, drawing my close attention, "we talked, for a while about our lives. She was talking about a Moroco trip Sage and her had taken, and i had asked where they were from because well she never said." I nod, keeping quiet as he continues. "She avoided the question, and any question I had of where they came from. Who they were before." It didn't surprise me, but it did make me wonder. What could they be hiding? Whatever it was it couldn't stay hid for too much longer. Not if tthere is to be trust between the pack and them. But i doubt trust between us is on their minds at all in the moment. I wonder what was on Sage's mind right now. She had left in a hurry, not that i was surprised. If it had been me, I would have left as well.

The car comes to an immediate stop, jerking me forward as a line of police cars surge passed, sirens blaring, lights flashing brightly. Jacob and I look at each other, something about the sight seeming odd, even in the city something would have to be extremely severe. My stomach dropped, somthing wasn't right.
I fought the urge to tell Jacob to follow the line of cars, but it was  implossable, there was no reason and we were already late for our meeting. The car starts to move, we pass the mass number of buildings in silent as we come up on our turning point. My skin itches and my stomach twists almost painfully. Jacobs phone begins to ring, the shrill sound making me jump.
"Hello?" Jacob asks, slowing the jeep as we turn off the main road out of the city.
"It's Nicole." I listen closely, noting the harsh undertone of urgency in Nicole's voice. "We have a sitatuon." As nicole continues, describing the details to my second my heart drops lower and lower into my stomach. A howl sounds out and I gasp.
"Who is it?!" I command, looking to Jacob for answers. I knew who it was I just needed to have it confirmed. I needed to hear the words.
"It is not one of our wolves alpha." Jacob says, trying to stay calm. "It is a rogue."
"What color, ask what color." He didn't have to. Nicole had already heard me.
"All black wolf, female, its on the news, reporters are swarming alpha, ait's bad."
