"Well first, you, ma'am, lied yesterday." Hashirama said, while crossing his arms and trying to look serious. (The glee in his eyes defied this purpose.)

Reimaru stared at him, confused. She hardly lied, at all. The last time.... Oh. Was about her expeditions to battlegrounds. She coughed to hide her fluster, then answered. "Well no not really. If you look at it from a different perspective?" She hedged "Like i said. Once he figured out I was helping he posed no threat to me...?" She trailed off, caught off guard by Hashirama's sudden grin.

"You have no idea who you met yesterday, did you?" He questioned.

"Um. Well. No. Not really." Reimaru answered, folding her arms into her lap. "And, im going on a hunch, you do?" Hashirama nodded eagerly. "Ok, I'll bite. Who was it?"

"His name is Madara Uchiha. Obviously you should know that name enough that I don't need to explain who he is."  Hashirama explained. Stunned, Reimaru sat back into the couch, and let out a low whistle.

" ... I suppose im more lucky then anything then." She said, her expression astounded. " That was really The Madara Uchiha? " She asked again, for clarification. Both her brother nodded, Tobirama recently having entered the room with a tray of food for them. Reimaru let out another low whistle. Then shrugged. "Although i suppose even he wouldn't have tried to hurt me. After all, I healed his brother. Wasnt his name Izuni or something?"

"Izuna, actually. And yes, you did. I spent most of the day working out a particular treaty, one between the Senju and the Uchiha. One that will stop the fighting, as you had suggested." Hashirama explained. "Though theres a lot of thought to go into it. And I've got your recklessness and carelessness to thank for it." He ended with a semi bitter note.

"Ok. Biting again. Why?"

Hashirama sighed, and settled his elbows to his knees. "Don't bite my head off, but ive been trying for a while to settle things with the Uchiha. It's been a vision of mine since before you had been born into this blood soaked world. No, I haven't told you that this is what I've been trying to do, because I didn't want you getting all gung ho on me and getting yourself into a heap of trouble - Not that it stopped you, really - but practically every time ive tried, it hasn't worked." He explained

" Madara's been... Particularly difficult. However this latest try of mine wasn't met with his usual resistance. (Also his brother wasn't there which was also odd)  After a little while we managed to come to an agreement. This of course, was definitely odd. So being the curious sort, I pressed into why the change of heart. And funnily enough i quote him on this, he 'stumbled upon a Senju of very odd priorities. ' And when he elaborated upon that, the description was very, very familiar. A Healer, with silver hair that went by the name Reimaru."

Hashirama paused, staring at Reimaru, his spirits suddenly dampened.

"Really. Reimaru. Really?" He asked, most definitely in exasperation. "You gave your name but never asked for his? Do you even know how dangerous that is?" He rubbed his templed and closed his eyes, then sighed again.

Reimaru grew agitated, and crossed her arms. Haru, sensing her agitation, hopped back onto the couch and pushed himself into her lap. "Hashi. You berate me for endangering myself, however if you and Tobirama hadn't sheltered me for most of my life, and allowed me to learn things like this, as well as oh, I don't know, how to defend myself? Maybe you wouldn't be worried about me all the time."

"And if you just stuck to a sheltered life you wouldn't be in danger either!" He pointed out, getting right back into the argument from the night before with just as much passion.

"I dont want to!" She argued, absentmindedly fondling Haru's ears. "Ive developed a technique that helps people! Why won't you let me use it? If you're so worried about my safety, instead of keeping me couped up why don't you teach me to defend myself?"

Hashirama rubbed his face and stared at her. "Because id rather you not in danger at all. You're my younger sister, you haven't experienced the drastic loss of a family member. We lost two brothers, before you could remember them. The loss of losing family is a large one, and that is actually what has driven the cycle of hatred between the Senju and the Uchiha. And id rather you not involved at all."

Reimaru glowered at him. "You're never going to relent, are you?" She asked softly.

"Most likely not, no." Hashirama confirmed.

Reimaru huffed but held her tongue, leaning back into the couch, looking at Haru's floofy head and running her fingers through his fur. The wolf let out a content ruff, and shifted on her lap, his tongue rolling out of his mouth.

The silence drug on, becoming uncomfortable quickly. Hashirama cleared his throat, drawing her attention.

"Anyway. You saved the life of Madara's brother. This, in turn, seemed to have lessen his convictions. And he has agreed to work with me on preventing more bloodshed. "

"I see. Have anything specific in mind?"

"....More like vauge ideas, really."  Hashirama admitted. "I just, i want to get rid of the clan comes first mentality. Clans are important, obviously, as is family. But its led to so much warring between clans."

Reimaru pondered what he was saying and agreed. "I think that's a wise course of action, as well, but Hashi, what will take its place? The loyalty one feels for family or clan cannot just be uprooted, there has to be something else for people to give their loyalty too."

"Oh... Right. I'll have to give that more thought. Maybe...." Hashirama trailed off, in thought. Then he shrugged. "Well, there's still time to iron everything out. Actually, i was wondering if you'd help me out with that? You're the more creative one." He asked with a sheepish grin.

"Oh yeah.  I'm the creative one. " Reimaru muttered in response " Says the one that has a completely unique style that no one can recreate."

"Fair enough, Reimaru. But you're better in the sense of thinking in lines of helping and building up. "

Reimaru sighed a bit, but in truth she was thrilled.

"Yes, I'll help with this endeavor of yours. Especially if it brings an end to the blood that already saturates the soil. "
