Jin Ru Xue clutched her neck, blood flew down slowly from her mouth. There was a bitter smile in her face, she stared at the pair of man and woman in front of her. The man she loved so much that made her changed herself to become an evil woman she was right now. She knew she deserved this, this was her retribution for all of the sins she had done. She looked at her hands, her beautiful white soft hands, but their were ugly. Many lives had been taken by these hands, these hands were full of blood and dirty to the point that The Hell King would want to chop it off once she was down there.

"Jin Ru Xue, do you have any last words?" that woman beside the man said.

Jin Ru Xue shoke her head, she knew she was dying, she was poisoned by her own poison which was meant for this woman, Hua Tien Lan, her husband's, The Emperor's most favored Consort. She schemed for Hua Tien Lan's death, but she lost to them, she never thought her own trusted maid would betray her, but how could she not, when they treated her better than she did. She admitted her defeat. She was actually already tired of this scheming life. Maybe this was the best for everyone.

While trembling, she went down on her knees and kowtow, to them. When she tried to stand up again, she almost felt down back to the floor but The Emperor grabbed a hold of her arm to prevent that. Once she was steady back on her foot, she gave him a gratitude gaze, but also immediately pulled her hands away. She gave him a slight curtsy to express her gratitude. She then turned away and walked toward her bed with much difficulty. The Emperor and Hua Tien Lan wanted to help her, but their knew with Jin Ru Xue's temperament, she would refuse their help, so they just stood there watching her last moment in life. At least she had her dignity till the end.

Jin Ru Xue stopped fighting the poison in her body once she arrived at the bed. She splurted out the blood that she had been holding back this whole time. Her body fall to the bed, right before she closed her eyes, she whispered, "I am sorry." to everyone I had killed and hurt. Unfortunately, nobody heard that.

The Emperor looked at the woman on the bed. He fisted his hands under the sleeves.

"You do know we can't keep her around any more, right Your Majesty!" Hua Tien Lan said softly from behind him.

"I know."

"It's hard to believe that Wu er was born and raised by her. How can a vicious woman like her raised her child to become smart and kind like him? It's too bad, I lost the chance to ask her."

"ENOUGH! WILL YOU SHUT UP!?" The Emperor shouted.

"Your Majesty!" Hua Tien Lan exclaimed.

"You go and leave first!" He raised his hand to stop her argument.

She saw that his mood wasn't good. So, she decided to do as his say, "Then, This Consort will take her leave first!" She curtsied to him and stepped back slowly before turned around when she reached the door. She closed the door back once she was out.

The Emperor walked toward the bed, slowly approaching Jin Ru Xue's dead body. He lifted her up and put her back in a proper posture. He took out a handkerchief and wiped the blood in her face and at the corner of her lips. After her face was cleaned, he put the handkerchief back in to his sleeve. He reached out his hand to touch her face which had been cold.

"If only you never done those evil deeds, I would never have to let you die like this!" He used his other hand to grab her hand and put it on his chest. "If you didn't marry me, would all of this still happen? To say I don't have any feeling for you will be a lie, because no matter what you are my legitimate wife and have giving birth to Wu Er. Not just Tien Lan, even I want to know how you raised him. That kid is so wise and just, his way of thinking is way more mature than kids his age. Completely different with how vicious you had always been. I had asked you before, why did you name him Ping Wu, but you never answer. When you were with him, you looked so calm and gentle. But in front of me, you never like that. I always wanted to find a time to talk with you, but I was afraid that gonna just be adding fuel to the fire and made you more outrage." He stared at her a long time, before he sighed and finally stood up.
