3 - Learn To Let Go

This early morning, a horse carriage from the palace came to the Prime Minister's Manor to deliver The Palace Moon Viewing Banquet's invitation which would be held in two days. In the invitation, The Old Madame, Madame and all of Prime Minister Jin's daughters were invited.

"Yu Lu, is everything ready for the banquet?" Old Madame asked when they were all seated at her Ru An Pavilion.

"Mother, Daughter in-law have prepared everything. All of the clothes, jewelries and shoes would be devided to everyone today.

"Good!" Old Madame repeatedly nodded her head. Then she turned her attention to Jin Ru Xue, "Xue er, your dad said you refused to marry Seventh Prince, is that true?"

Jin Ru Xue was surprised her father already let Old Madame know about it. And Old Madame even asked her in front of all of her siblings. Once she had thought out how to answer, she took a deep breath and said, "Grandma, do you remember this bracelet?" she raised her right hand and pulled her sleeve a little to show the jade bracelet on her wrist.

"Yes, of course. It's your maternal grandmother's gift for you right before she passed away. But what this bracelet have to do with the marriage between you and Seventh Prince. If I remember correctly, just three days ago you said other than Seventh Prince you would marry nobody else."

Jin Ru Xue blushed deep crimson, her young self was really too naive. "Grandma, this bracelet is the reason why I refused to marry Seventh Prince." she stood up, "Two days ago, I remember the words crafted on this bracelet were Peaceful and Carefree. It's Maternal Grandmother's wish for me to live a peaceful and carefree life. So I think really hard, if I marry Seventh Prince, will I have that kind of life? Grandma, let Granddaughter ask you, if I marry Seventh Prince, will Xue er have a peaceful and carefree life?"

The pavilion was void of sound for a long time before Old Madame answered with a shake of her head.

"Right. I will not. That's why I would rather stay unmarried forever then marry to participate in the power struggle."

"Than, that's mean Eldest Sister and Second Sister are living in the middle of power struggle!" Jin Ru Ping, Fifth Miss of Jin Family exclaimed.

Jin Ru Xue shook her head, "Third Prince and Sixth Prince are not interested in dragon seat. So, the wind and storm won't turn in to their life. That's why Eldest Sister and Second Sister could still have a relax daily life. Except have to be careful at the palace banquet, more or less they won't be at the center of the war."

Old Madame and Li Yu Lu nodded their head.

Jin Ru Xue said when she saw Jin Ru Fu, her Third Younger Brother opened his mouth, "Fu er, you want to ask is Seventh Prince really involved in the competition, right?" Jin Ru Fu nodded, "Let Third Sister told you, even if he doesn't want to, he still have to join."
