It was time, time for me and four other wolf-people to go and scavenge for anything from the snowy forest. I slung my bag over my shoulder and put on my cloak. I had my hood over my head, my ears would peek out over the hood thanks to the holes in it. In my bag I had a sewing needle for a weapon and some food from the last journey. I also had my mom's scarf. I was only six when my mom died from getting eaten by a monster. My dad, however, died being a guard next to the gate. A monster found out where we wolf-people lived and tried to get in, but my dad stopped the monster, getting killed in the process. That means I'm a lone wolf now, technically not, because I've had my friend Lily for 13 years now. She'd been like a sister to me, she was always kind and willing to help. I hugged her and said goodbye as I left for the giant goat lady's house. We were past the lady's door and down the steps. One wolf-person slipped, fell, and twisted her ankle. We had to keep going, but we couldn't just leave her there. Axel decided to carry her through the long tunnel. After the long trek through the giant hall, we managed to open the door out of the Ruins. Snow, snow everywhere. Dark, cold, and creepy filled all of us as we entered the snowy forest. The Ruin's door closed, leaving us in the snow. I perked my ears up to hear if anything was coming. All I heard was a weak 'help'. I ran over towards the sound, seeing only a little wolf-child. "Are you ok, little one?" I asked as they looked up at me, terrified.

"Miss, you need to get out of here now...!" The child said as I picked them up in my arms. They looked around, seeing if the coast was clear. I ran back to the others and told me that we should set up a checkpoint, so I did. I set up the tent and build a fire, which didn't last very long. I left to go find other materials, only to find myself lost in the forest. I looked around, confused as to where I was. Until, I heard the snow crunching, The earth would shake as if it were an earthquake. A shadow loomed over me, I was terrified as to what it was. I turned around to see a giant skeleton, looking down at me with white lights in his eyes. The lights shrunk to pinpricks when he saw me move. "Well, well, well... look what we have here...." the giant said in a low, growl of a voice. He had teeth that were as sharp as daggers. My legs were starting to shake and collapsed underneath me, making the giant laugh. "Well, that joke fell short" he joked as he kneeled down to see me better.
