Winter Wonderland (Minizerk)

Chapter 2. Reindeer?!

The snow was falling down onto the silent village as the sun slowly started peeking up over the horizon in the frosty morning.

Josh reluctantly crawled out of bed checking his phone to see that he was already a bit late for his liking. He jogged down the stairs after putting on some clothes and shouted for the boys to get up.

A drowsy Simon peeked out of his door, yawning with a raised eyebrow.

"It's only like.. Dawn or some shit. Why are you up, fresh and shouting?" He questioned the brunette as he followed him into the kitchen, his clothes hanging loose.

"Firstly, it's 11 am and we got shit to do after lunch." Josh hummed searching for his hat in his coat, that was hanging on a coat-rack near the door. "I think we should skip breakfast and go straight for lunch. Either out into the diner or cook something."

Simon blinked slowly, taking in the information as he sat down on one of the stools facing the living-room.

"Can't we like... Order some pizza?" He yawned again rubbing his ocean blue eyes.

Josh laughed out loud, earning a 'shut up' from JJ from his room and a small boy to drag himself down the stairs too.

"What's so funny?" Vik smiled lightly, taking a seat beside Simon and turned towards the standing Josh.

"Nothing, just Simon being ridiculous." The bearded boy shook his head, glancing at his watch. "I'mma go tell the others that they should be ready to go grab something to eat. I shall be back in fifteen."

Deciding that buying food was the easiest, they all gathered in the in the tiny restaurant. After trying out various kind of meals and sausages the boys were full and ready for a nap.

"You lot stay here." Josh commanded, getting up from his seat after paying his part of the bill. "And come out when I tell you so."

"How are you gonna tell us if you're out there and we are in here?" JJ wondered, his brain not fully functioning as it seemed.

"I'll text someone." Josh shook his head, trying not to put JJ down as he slowly walked out of the warm place into the cold outside world.

He didn't need to walk far on the beaten path until he managed to find the kind old man he was supposed to meet. He was standing outside a  decent sized byre, dressed up in warm clothes with keys in his hand.

"Good afternoon, sir." Josh greeted him, smiling prettily as he came closer to him.

"Hello, young man. You must be... Mr. Bradley." He smiled back, a thick accent surrounding his voice.

He clearly didn't speak English that well, but thankfuly Josh managed to understand him and visa versa.
They went through the plan once again then Josh texted Tobi to come out and followed the straight path until they saw him.

When the guys were finally there, Josh introduced them to the man as they were eager to know what they were going to do in front of a byre.

No animals could be seen from where they were standing and when the man opened the gate for them that's when they noticed why they were there.

"Reindeer!" Vik cried out running through the gate just to stop in front of the bawn.

"They eat carrots." The man commented putting a carrot in Vik's hand. "Feed it."

The boys smiled at his enthusiasm as they stumbled towards him, Simon trailing behind so he could stop in front of a small specimen.

Vik slowly extended his arm towards the deer and let it munch on the vegetable from his hand.
