It had been two weeks since Nathan started school. Him and Noah shared most lessons together so before school they'd walk in together go to tutor for the first twenty minutes and then carried on for either English, Maths or Science which they were both in together or occasionally in the morning they had art together but the only lesson they didn't have was when Noah and media, Nathan had Psychology. Today was an unusual day. Nathan stood at the end of Noah's street waiting for him to come but he didn't. He texted him and nothing. If only Nathan knew the house number he could go and knock. By 8:40 he decided to just go and see if he went to school early to do art work or something. When the tutor bell finally went, Nathan ran into the room to find the seat empty where he would usually find his little friend. He sat down and thought he's probably running late, but when the register was done and the lesson bell went he was no where to be found. He was alone in science and in music. By lunch Nathan had just given up trying to find him- he walked to the tree where he would usually go with Noah and found a person slumped against it with his head in his hands against his knees. Nathan ran over to see who it was and it was his lost friend crying with blood streaming from his head, knees and nose. Nathan realised he was sat on some sort of suitcase. He lifted the sad boy onto his lap and cradled him until he stopped crying. Noah had his head against the warmth of Nathan chest and felt at home, at peace with the world for once. "Hey what's up? Who's hurt you my pretty?" Nathan gently asked after Noah had stopped crying. Noah took a deep breath before spluttering out "I never told you thins b-b-but my mum and dad abuse me, they hit me, punch me, kick me, I can't breathe Nathan. I packed my bag and I jumped out the window after skimming my knee, my dad when to stab me and now I have no where to go!" He bursted into tears again. Noah was over heating wearing his big hoodie. He had trails of sweat dripping down his neck, forehead and chin, his hair was messy and mated by the sweat and rain. Nathan held Noah tightly to his chest and he felt a tingle from his belly arising, something he'd never felt before for anyone. "Shush, it's okay, I'll see if you can stay round mine for awhile and you'll be safe, we'll call the police when we get home and try and make everything okay! You're over-heating! you have to take your hoodie off to cool down for bit." Noah violently shook his head, "Why not? come on please. for me" Noah breathed out again deeply and shakily took his hoodie off. Nathan sat god-smacked at the sight of Noah's arms. His arms were red raw and covered in dried blood from past times. Nathan covered his mouth as he internally screamed and started to cry as he saw the beaten face. Noah had a black eye and cuts from his forehead to his lips, he had red marks on his neck like cat scratched and robe burns along to his ears and down to his chest, his chest was all bruised up and cut slightly to his stomach and on his stomach were engraved works such as "hate", "fat", "worthless". Now a few stubborn tear were falling down Nathan's cheeks like a rainfall or a waterfall in the forest, fast and heavy. Nathan's wanted to say something but all the came out was a squeak as the bell went and the beaten boy looked at him scared and a depressing look of isolation. Nathan forced his friend close to his body and whispered into his ear "I'm not leaving you, I'm going to stay here with you through last period." Nathan choked on his words as Noah flung his arms around his neck and started to cry again in his broad shoulder. Nathan rubbed his back and hushed him whilst he cried, but everything Nathan got to a certain point on his back Noah yelped in pain. Nathan kissed the top of Noah's small head and then his cheek, "My poor baby, why would anyone want to hurt you?" He spluttered softly in the Noah's sharp shoulder. "Your baby?" Noah question and sat back. Nathan had a blank expression on his face from what he just said. He was shouting at himself inside his head, "Nathan?" Whispered Noah bringing back Nathan from his deep enchantment. "I'm sorry I don't know why I said that. I'm so stupid!" He replied sadly and facepalmed himself. "No, Nathan. I need to tell you something" Nathan nodded in reassurance before Noah carried on with what he has to say "I've had feelings for you the day you sat next to me one day one" Nathan smiled and pulled Noah close "same for you." He replied. He felt Noah smile into his chest. "I have one question for you Noah Damian" Noah smiled and looked into his Sapphire eyes "will you take my hand and be mine?" Noah gleamed from ear to ear and excitedly squealed "yes" whilst wrapping is cold arms around his new boyfriends neck and kissing his cheek softly. "You're cold baby. Put you hoodie on" Noah rolled his eyes and followed the demand. As he pulled the hoodie over his head he felt Nathan's slender fingers on his belly where he'd cut the words into his skin. "Nathan..."
"Shush, everything will be okay. I'm going to call my mum and you're going to stay with me baby. I promise everything will be okay" Nathan pulled the hoodie down so it covered Noah's torso and called his mum.
Two minutes later he came off the call after his mum agreed to let Noah stay. They got up as they heard the bell and ran out of the field so they wouldn't get caught and walked out of the school gates towards the direction Nathan lived.
