Chapter 4: Cant Swim...

Hey. Sorry I've been gone everyone, but there was just a few things I needed to work on and writers block is being a female dog deciding to annoy me to no FREAKING end!

But yeah, sorry. though I'm going to try and update more frequently. I guess I should add this as well, but I want you all to vote on something.

Its just a one shot thing. But I still think it would be fun to do a few of these!

~Your POV~

I was currently riding on my fathers shoulders as we where still making our way to where we would be swimming.

"So, dad, what can you tell me about my mother?" I asked wanting to know more about her, I had never heard anything of her where about or what she was like!

"Y/n." My fathers voice turned dark, "We do not speak of her. Ever. Understand child?"

"O-Oh... Okay."

"You dont need to know anything about your mother until you are old enough to understand, okay?"

"I guess..." I sighed then rested my head on the top of dads and just let my mind wander for a little while until we got to the lake where we would be spending the day.

When we finally got to the water and started to set up towels and two umbrellas due to the fact most of the pastas here are extremely pale and we didn't have sunscreen. More like we forgot to grab it. By we I mean my cousins. Its their own fault they will be tomatoes for a week or two. (A/n this is how long my sunburns last. I NEVER REMEMBER THE SUNSCREEN!!)

After everything was set out everyone began to jump into the water. Only I stayed under an umbrella with Ben. Why? Well... We had both very suddenly remembered we couldn't swim. At all. Not even in a bathtub. Ben and I only ever showered. Jeez I feel like a complete idiot sitting here while the others played around in the water. I guess it gave me some time to think about what to get everyone for Christmas. (A/n it's December~ In this universe it's very warm in the winter. Just roll with it XD)

I suppose I can just ask Ben if he knew what my cousin would like, she was rather difficult sense she liked so many things. Gerika would probably just want waffles. I'll have to ask around for Kat. Ben is easy. Video games. Ember... Probably a book. Sighing I looked at the ground and continued to think about it.

"Y/n! Want to learn how to swim...?" My father asked kneeling in front of me. I thought about it for a second and nodded. It would be nice to be able to swim around with everyone. Marcus smiles and helped me up and pulled me towards the water. Time to learn!

It's been about three hours, and I was slowly but surly getting the hang of swimming! Prism even got Ben to let her teach him! Which I think was going pretty well.

"Use your feet Y/n. You won't go very far with just your arms. You'll get tired far faster." Dad told me while standing in the water a yard away. I nodded and started to kick my feet which helped a lot like he said. I continued to do this for a few more minutes until I had to swim back over to dad due to the fact I was getting tired and the water was just about to deep for me to stand with my head above the water, though it was only waist high on dad. So I had him pick me up and hold me up in the water so I wouldn't freaking drown. Like Ben did.

I took a few breaths and started thinking about Christmas again, I should ask dad if he knows what Prism might want.

"Hey dad?" I asked looking up at him.

"Yes Y/n?"

"Do you know what Prism might want for Christmas?"

"Unfortunately not, I would go ask my brother."

"Which one?"

"Splendor."

"Do you know where he is...?" I asked looking around for my smiling uncle.

"He might be on the land, or on top of the waterfall." Dad replied jabbing him thumb behind him pointing at the shore. I sighed and told him to let me down. Dad smiled and shoved me towards the land once I was in the water to give me a boost.

Alright, so the options are really mostly Ben and Prism. Because I need some serious practice in writing romance stuff and cute things... I've got the comedy down I think -.-. Anyways, here are the options!
