A Valiant Halloween 2017

Hey guys! So I know this is like a month late, but I wanted to write it and make it the best I could, and the idea for this kinda came a little to close to Halloween, which is why I was just now able to finish it. This story line, because it's current, is current to where they are and what they're doing while the Dragon Empire Series is going on. There aren't any spoilers, but it does enlighten you as to what their lives are like now and hints as to what happened since the Valiant Series ended. Hope you enjoy! I tried to feature all your favorite ships and characters. 

"Why does it matter what I wear, Av?" Jared asked in a grumbling tone. For so long he'd been blind and he supposed old habits died hard. It was hard for him to care about how he looked or what he wore. Most of the time he just wore leather gear.

Av held the outfit to him, a blue and gold satin and silk prince outfit. "Because," she started, "Mythix and Lynia are going as beauty and the beast! Even Shinji and Akari are dressing up for the party...! They're going as Rapunzel and Eugene... So we have to go as Cinderella and Prince Charming. I've already got the blonde wig, Jared. Just get in the prince's outfit already!"

Jared sighed and grabbed it. Best just make her happy. "Okay, okay... Fine." Don't know why we have to go to this thing anyway, Jared thought.

Because Lynia and Mythix worked hard to plan it, Skull interupted.

Jared didn't seem surprised. Even if they weren't in the same building, it was easy for them to communicate telepathically. Don't you think we have more important things to do?

Skull sent him a mental nudge that would have been a shrug. Maybe. We've been working hard lately... I mean, how many times have you almost gotten yourself killed? I think we deserve a break.

Six times, okay?

I thought it was seven... Skull let his mental voice trail off.

Six! That instance with the Imperials doesn't count. I was helping a Magi. Jared finished dressing and walked out, holding out his arms. "Well? It this... Prince Charming?" Sometimes he wondered why he ever let Echon talk him into learning a bit more "pop culture."

Av grinned and winked at him as she strolled up to him. "My handsome prince..."

Skull mentally grimaced. Yeah this is stuff I could do without. See ya.

Av smacked his chest. "You were talking with Skull again, weren't you?"

Jared looked at her sheepishly and then placed his hands on either side of her face. "Av, I was just a little distracted, that's all. I think I liked being called your Hunter better."

"That wasn't even you that I called that!" Av shouted.

Jared made a clicking noise. "Ouch, Av. That one hurt."

She shot him a look. "Yeah, right..."

"Go get dressed before we're late to Lynia and Mythix's party."

"The mighty Durantos has been conjured from the netherworld! You shall do as he commands...!" Mythix's bellowing voice shouted.

Lynia rolled her eyes as she etched a final line onto the pumpkin's face. "Mythix, we're hosting a party for our friends here on Nassyria, not for the Imperials. Drop the Durantos act, just this once, please... I am so sick of hearing it!"

Mythix bowed to her, as his blue energy flared out behind him. He magically conjured several items - a gold necklace, inscense, a basket full of apples. "Of course, Lynshirra... mighty goddess of justice!"
