Some lingering students passed through the halls starring at us curiously. He turned so his back was covering me and by back pushed up against the lockers. The cool metal gave me reassurance, these are lockers at a school, nothing very bad could happen in public... right?
"If you make any noise I won't hesitate to separate your head from your shoulders"
He was no liar. Something about him, everything about his just seemed so dark. Almost as if he had a storm raging over him. His black mesmerizing eyes starred right at me, beyond just appearances. He was starring at my very soul, but I couldn't look away.
I didn't stop him when he placed his hand over my heart. My brain told me it was okay, everything will be okay.
" Cadent in somnis" Slowly my eyelids pulled down, and my brain was in a fog. I felt fuzzy and warm. It was getting hard to stay awake.
His white teeth shone and me, grinning like a deformed Cheshire cat.
"Sanguinis atra" My whole body ached, a stinging sensation ran through my veins.
It hurt so bad I wanted to scream, but only a croaking sound found its way out of my throat.
" Sine me tuum esse " His voice grew deeper and his body started to twitch.
I fell limp, I had no control over my body. My muscles felt like jello and my mind felt lost.
He put a strange charm in front of my face and he started to chant
"Da mihi anima tua"
A blue mist twirled from my mouth and was pulled into his charm. He was taking my soul.
I'm going to die. I wasn't scared, I was feeling...relief? No one could hurt me now. No more pain. Everything was going to be okay ...
I was dropped to the floor my head bounced off the tile like a ball. Blondie was no longer next to me, it was a guy with hair on fire and he had glowing eyes.
His lips were moving fast, and then I saw the charm. It had blue mist coming out of it and onto me. Suddenly I could breathe, I felt my blood pumping through my veins and my eyes could see clearly
I sat up gasping for air.
"It's alright, you have no need to worry."
I realized he was a red head, his hair wasn't on fire ; his eyes were bright blue, not glowing. I looked around and noticed blondie pinned up against the wall, by an invisible force.
"He won't hurt you, he's locked in a demon trap"
"He's in a demon trap?" I must have looked confused because he spoke again.
"Are you aware that there are demons?"
he hesitated
"Do you know what you are?"
"I-I don't... what?" He looked at me sadly, as if he pitied me.
"I have much to explain, but not here. I must take you somewhere safe" He pulled me up off the floor and began striding down the halls. When he noticed I wasn't following he came back.
"You may trust me, I swear on my life I shall not harm you. We must hurry." He glanced over where Blondie was trapped.
Blondie was snarling like a wild animal.
"Your not safe anywhere darling" he growled.
"I will have yo--" The red head cast his hand toward him and his whole body went limp and he dropped to the floor.
What the hell...
He grabbed my hand and my feet blindly followed him. I figured it would be better to follow the guy who saved my life, rather than stay with the guy who tried to kill me.
"But I don't even know you. Where are we going?"
"My name is Algernon, I am a servant the light. I'm taking you to a safe place."
We hurried out to the parking lot, but we where stopped by a school security guard. He was short and fat, with two chins that made him kinda look like Jabba the Hutt.
"Where you kids going?"
"It is none of your concern" and with that we got into his gleaming white mustang and left the confused security guard in the dust.

Homes and building passed by, but I felt like I was in a dream. That's got to be it, I'm just dreaming. I once heard if you go to sleep in a dream, you wake up. My whole body agreed it was a good idea, sleep sounded good. I rest my head against the window. I'll wake up soon. It will be over...
