As a day turned into a year. Sue was now fifth-teen and still had not found a replacement future husband. She now thought the little boy Charlie, was a mean cold hearted jerk. " I don't care how poor he is, it has been a whole year he could have came to see me or write to me, something would do." She thought to her self. He continued to not visit or anything. The sun had arose that morning like any other morning. As the red and the neon orange and yellow danced in the sky, sue got ready for breakfast. She had put on her morning gown. It was a lovely pale blue gown with ruffles at the bottom and a one inch wide bow around the wast. She was looking like a young lady now. She sat down with her mother as they waited for the butler, rosemary prepared their meal. Then out of the blue sues mother started discussing how she had found a rich handsome replacement for a husband. Sue thought Charlie was such a jerk right now that she went along with her mother idea. It was about noon and the guards had open every door and window in the palace. Smells of roses and lilacs floated into the palace from the garden. Then a boy the same age as sue walked in and bowed in front of sue and her mother. He was tall for his age and had jet black hair. He was muscular and had dark blue eyes. His broad shoulders mad his posture look nice. He had this smile, a smile that would belong on a snake. The young boy took a deep breath then spoke out. "I am prince Jerry from Ireland. I am here to claim my future wife sue." He said as he looked at sue and smiled. Sue modded and told him who she was. Sue could tell he would have tons of flaws but she didn't know of what. They then had lunch together. As they ate it was very silent and awkward. Just then Jerry said " I am so glad my mum and yours picked us to be together. You may be poorer and les attractive then I you have a cute smile. Your money and attractiveness can change with my help." He then stood up and smiled. Sue looked at him and thought to her self that he was rude and she never wanted to talk to him again. She ran to her room. The salty tears rushed down her face and onto the pillows on her bed. How could her mother want this for her daughter. Why would she choose a obnoxious and rude and a stuck up for sue. It made no sense. Three knocks came from sue's large oak door. As her mother walked in sue looked her with a mean look. Both sue and her mother was sitting on sue's bed. Sue tried to get her mother to rethink the marriage proposal. Sue wanted to marry for love not the money. It was times like this she wanted Charlie back but could no longer have him. Sue had to marry Jerry on her twenty-fifth birthday. Sue walked around mopping and crying a lot that week. It was unfair. She could not Marry any guy he had to be rich and a snob. He had to be Jerry. The rest of that year she tried to ad void Jerry as much as possible. She would run away on their dates and hang up on him on the phone. Jerry never really cared because,he was in love with sue. He was just to much of a snob to realize how mean he was to her. This was the hardest thing sue ever had to do. She wished she was still a little girl when love didn't exist to her. This one pretty young lady with a sweet gently smile had turned. She now was a girl who always had a sad face on her. Their was no gently kindness to her smile, no soul in her eyes, and no love in her heart. She started doing her task in a boring manner and she started to slouch. She was depressing. Her mother knew this but never talked to her. Sues happiness was the life of the palace. Without it no one was happy. It all became a drag.
