So, the prologue is in 3rd person point of view, but the rest of the story is in 1st person point of view, it just switches. Anyways, I hope you enjoy this :)

This chapters kind of sad though, but the book gets better and funnier after this.

This chapter is only 3 pages long from when I wrote it out, but I don't know for on here..

"We can't let it happen." Queen Bubbles said, staring down at her newborn child, Princess Blue." Not again."

"We can't change what happened to Stream and Snow." King Issac said, shaking his head.

"I'm well aware, Isaac." She said, her blue eyes piercing into the souls of the other mermen and mermaid's gathered around." What can we do?" she sighed, watching her many children swim around, playing.m

Her eldest, Princess Aqua sat next to them. She was the oldest girl, but her twin brother, Prince Octo, was a few minutes older, and he was the heir to the throne." Perhaps we can have her life a human life."

"NO!" King Isaac boomed, his voice nearly causing a tsunami. " Humans kill Snow and Stream! We live in fear of the humans, and I will not put my daughter in that position."

"What're we going to do then, lock her up?" Aqua said, her blue eyes glaring at the queen." She deserves the thing I was never granted with. Turtle, Atlanti, Creek, Pond, Stream, and Snow never got that thing. Only Octo. Can't Blue have it, Mother?" Her voice was cold and filled with venom as she spoke.

"And what is it, that my spoiled children never had?" the Queen snapped.

"Happiness!" Aqua shrieked, tears forming in her eyes as she swam away." All I wanted was happiness!"

"Children," the Queen said, shaking her head." Quite immature I'd say. Begging for pity and attention, begging to be human. The child is only nine, and she speaks of wanting to be happy? Foolish child."

Prince Octo frowned. Ever since Snow and Stream had been kidnapped and killed by humans, his mother had showed hatred. His sister was right. None of his siblings had ever been truly happy with the mermaid life they were stuck in. Being royal was supposed to be a gift, not a curse. Even Prince Octo hadn't been happy. He was just willing to expect that this was his life.

He swam off after his sister, trying to find where she was headed.

Aqua's head broke to the surface, her gills vanishing, and being replaced with lungs. She breathed in, swimming as close to shore as she dared. She kept her blue tail hidden beneath the water, only her head and upper body showing.

She watched the people on the beach, the people who looked happier with their lives, the exact opposite of what she felt. The waves in the water even seemed to be filled with gloom, not sea foam and water.

She caught sight of a person, a male to be exact, splashing around in the sea. His head turned, as if he felt eyes on him, and his eyes locked with hers, a green color combining with her blue ones. She felt a pull towards him, and swam over, smiling brightly." Hello."

He flashed a smile. His teeth were pearly white, but pointed, much like a sharks." Hey, I'm Jacob."

"Aqua." She replied, holding her hand out.

He shook her hand, and she felt alarmed, when a shock went through her body. It was no shock of love. It was a shock of danger.

Her electric blue eyes widened, and she yanked her hand away." What the heck!" She yelped, turning and swimming away. She could hear him splashing behind her, trying to catch her." Help me! Octo! Turtle, Creek, Atlanti, Pond! Daddy!" She screamed. Her high pitched scream pierced the air, as the creature bit into her tail." Please, don't kill me!" She wailed, almost hysterically.

"Leave her alone!" Octo's voice filled her ears. She felt the grip on her tail loosen, and the pain still hurt, but he had to get to safety." Aqua, go!" He yelled." I'll be down soon!"

She dove into the water, swimming back towards the Water Kingdom. She waited for her twin brother's return, but after a few hours, it was evident that the prince would never be seen again.

The rest of Aqua's life was filled with gloom. Her other half was gone, thanks to her. She felt she was an idiot. An idiot for leaving the kingdom, for going towards Jacob, and for calling for help. Octo's death was what changed the Water Kingdom forever.
