How's Life Rachel?

Makayla Jane

Makayla Jane is a 10 year old girl from Lima Orphanage for Girls. She lost her mom when she was four years old. Her father would come home drunk from bars. He would starve her to death, and beat her until she drew blood. She has bruises from her father. Her father got put into jail for child abuse and neglect. Makayla got put into an orphange at age six. Now at age 10, she goes home with Finn and Rachel. She hasn't been in an actual house or lived with a family since she was put into the orphanage. Will she adjust? Will she like her new family? Will she like the fact she's going to have a baby brother or sister in a 6 1/2 months? Read and find out!

Finn and Rachel arrive at the orphanage to pick up Makayla.

"Hi you guys must be Finn and Rachel. I'm Stephanie."

"Hi it's nice to meet you. We're here to pick up Makayla."

"Yes come on in."

Finn and Rachel walk into the orpahange. Finn notices a little girl with brown hair with blonde highlights. She's playing with her friends by the staircase. The girls later on run upstairs. He assumes the girl must be Makayla.

"I'll go up stairs and get Makayla. You want to come up and meet her?"

"Of course." Finn smiled.

When they got up stairs, Finn saw the same girl again.

"Makayla! Your new family is here to pick you up!"

Makayla turned her head. It was the same girl Finn noticed when he walked into the orphange. The same girl with brown hair and blonde highlights. He even got to noticed her bright eyes. Big and blue. Sky blue.

"Hi i'm Makayla. You must be Finn and Rachel." Makayla got up.

"Hi Makayla. Its nice to meet you." Finn smiled.

"Same to you." Makayla smiled back

"Ok. You two want to come down stairs with me and i'll tell you more about Makayla. Makayla, why don't you gather your things and meet us down stairs." Stephanie smiled at Makayla.

"Ok. It was nice to meet you and Rachel." Makayla smiled at Rachel

"It was nice to meet you Makayla." Rachel smiled back at Makayla

When Finn, Rachel, and Stephanie went down stairs into the office, Stephanie started to talk.

"Ok. Makayla Jane is an amazing little girl. She loves to hang out with her friends. She loves soccer. She's amazing to the younger kids. But there's a sad past. Makayla's mom died from cancer when Makayla was only four years old. Her father became very desperate. He started to drink very heavily and

go to bars until two in the morning. Makayla will get left alone at the house. He never fed her much. She started to become very skinny and almost got very sick. He was getting worse and worse with drinking. He would then start to beat her until the first drop of blood hit the floor."

Finn and Rachel just looked at each other in disbelief. They couldn't believe what they just heard.

"Who would do something like that to an innocent child?" Rachel looked down at her stomach. Finn held her hand.

"Well it looks like you two are perfect for Makayla. She needs all the love right now." Stephanie said

"Stephanie? You in here?" Makayla knocked on the door as she walked in.

"Yes sweetie." Stephanie smiled.

"You ready kiddo?" Finn got up with Rachel behind.

"Yea. I can't wait." Makayla smiled

"Ok you guys would just sign here and she's yours." Stephanie handed the adoption paper to Finn and Rachel. They signed it.

"Ok. Makayla Jane is now yours."

"Awesome! Let's go home baby girl." Rachel and Finn walked out with Makayla. Finn took Makayla and Rachel's hand.

I can't wait to finally go home. I'm actually going home. Rachel and Finn are so nice. I love them already. My life is now complete. I'm safe.

But when i published my first book Finchel~Adoption, i got over 800 reads and counting. That made me published a sequal which is getting over 500 reads and counting. Hopefully this one is as successful.
