P.O.V. from Thor

From all the nine realms — well, now eight realms —, Midgard is the one who brings me home the most. Except for Asgard, of course, but after the Ragnarök, my second home became my first. Bu tat least my people still bring me a house, a shelter.

Agard is not only a place, it's a people, and if those people are safe, so is my home.

Norway. Maybe dad was right about here. Is vast, beautiful. Great for our people. With the passing of days, we were changing the landscape, covering some of the green lands with new houses, as well as new machines. We also tried to use human's technology, which was very useful for the process of construction, at least until now. We had a big arsenal ready, so that, until not all houses were built, there was a secure shelter for some of the families, and also a place to stock materials.

— I think we'll need to get back to the city, they're warning us of the lack of resources to build the eastern part. — Heimdall was pointing to an area where the mounds of stone and wood no longer seem to be enough.

— By the morning I'll try to solve this, until that, use what we have stored. — I answered without taking my eyes off the untouched landscape below, where it was possible to see more green fields.

I could see out of the corner of my eye the movement of Heimdall's head in my direction. He looked at me like every time I looked at him when he looked at things in the distance. In fact, seeing was a routine for Heimdall. He could see a lot more than my eyes ever looked even after all the places I've been through. He probably had seen those green fields many years ago.

— You seem distant. — He replied suddenly.

—  I'm kind of uneasy. Everything seems to be working out too well, even if it's a good thing.

– Thor, a month passed by since we had great progress in building the new kingdom, what could go wrong?

— No, I don't think it's related to our people. I feel it is something related to Midgard, but nothing related to Norway. — I replied, finally turning my gaze to Heimdall.

— Do you think there is something about Jane?

I was surprised. I did not think it was anything to do with Jane. Since we returned to Midgard, I have been so focused on building a new reign that I had forgotten about her.

— No, I do not think so. — I answered, not really sure of what was I saying. — It's something distant, I can feel it.

— If you want to not only feel but to see, you know I'm at your disposal. — He replied, looking away again.

Probably looking way past all those green fields.

Some bonfires were made to keep the people warmer, as we did not have such a warm place for everyone to have dinner. So for now, we made some bonfires and tables with logs and boards. In the eastern part, the material was enough to finish some houses, at least for now. People seemed happy, despite their joint tiredness, because it was necessary the help of all from the morning until night time.

— Well, well, if we do not have Thor, God of Thunder, without saying a word tonight.

I woke up from my thoughts and raised my head, that until then I was bent over my dinner plate. Looking up, and in spite of the darkness, I could see Valkyrie crouched in front of me, resting her hands on her knees, like a mother going to talk to her still-small son. If she had not uttered a word, I wouldn't notice her there.
