I now realize what was happening.
Josh Smith and him committed crimes and so he "hired" a "cop" or whatever to "arrest" me and whatnot.
Clever, but not sneaky enough.
Ashley comes up to me and gasps when she realizes what I'm seeing.
"Really?" I roll my eyes at her.
"I'll go find more information about Smith and what he does that makes someone want to kill him. Revenge maybe?" Ashley asks.
"Alright." I reply and turn back to examine him, incase there's something I can figure out. While I'm scrutinizing his lower body. He turns and smirks at me. What. The. Heck. He then disappears while I stand there, mouth open wide. Did he just smirk at me?
Oh my gosh. He now knows that I know. And probably thinks I'm a pervert. What did I just do. Such bad timing. I try to cover up by moving my gaze somewhere else, so it looks like I accidentally glanced on him.
~~~Time Lapse~~~
"OMG! Okay, so I found more information about him!" Ashley rushes into my office with a look of excitement on her face as she lays down some papers and I scrutinize it very carefully.
"Hey, it looks like he goes to the convenience store across the street weekly." I talk suspiciously.
"Looks like one less life will be taking place tomorrow." I put the papers down and act calmly as a smirk spreads across my face.
"How do you know he's going tomorrow?" Ashley asks dubiously.
"Well, you never know till' we find out." I reply.
"Okay, okay." She surrenders, putting her hands up in the air.
"Don't worry about him. I'm a professional at this. even if he doesn't come tomorrow, there's always going to be another chance to assassinate him, I hope." I assure her, kind of.
"Well, what if something happens to you?" Now having a puppy dog face.
"Well, you can watch me from a distance. Have binoculars with you and keep me updated on what's happening. Tell me if he's out to get me or something."
