David is holding onto me for dear life sobbing his heart out.

'Gabbie, from the day we met, I knew you were a friend who'd stay. You're so strong and not afraid to speak your mind. I don't know what I'd do without you, Gabbie, I don't. I need you here, I need you tomorrow, next week and for the foreseeable future, you need to be alive. For me, you, all your friends and family. You're so much better.'

David kisses my forehead and whispers I love you Gabbie in my ear. I let out a gentle sob and he tries to wipe away my tears. He can feel the blood slowly soaking up every inch of his shirt and he starts to panic. I start to feel light headed and dizzy. But I don't say anything. Because if I'm dying, I want to let myself die. I lean my head back and say 'I love you too, David.'

He notices the whisper in my voice and sits up straight. He holds my head in his hands and I can't see anything. I close my eyes. It's dark.

'Gabbie? Gabbie?! No, no, no, no, no, no - Gabbie!' He yells.
'Da-' I try, but no luck. Nothing.
'Shh, stay here, Imma call Liza!'

I can hear his phone ringing and with my other arm, I attempt to unwrap my arm. So I can bleed out. I listen to David and Liza's conversation. The crack in Liza's voice and David's cries.

'Liza please, I need your help more than anything right now!'
'Where is she? I'm getting in my car.'
'On the bathroom floor- OH MY GOD GABBIE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!'
'David?! David is she okay?'
'Liza- I- I don't know.'

'Talk to me Gabbie, talk to me baby.'

david is shaking me and holding the arm that I cut.

he lifts my body and carries me to the couch. he sits down next to me and lets my body fall limp into his arms. he cradles me until i can hear the door. it's liza. she comes in wailing.

she runs her hand down my cheek and breaks down.

'she's still breathing david!'
