The Bad Boy in Town

TWO

On the car ride home Bella and Annie wouldn't shut up about detention.
"Im guessing im not allowed to tell mom" Annie said laughing
"Shut up Annie this isn't funny, i have to spend 4 hours alone with Jonah. Where he can make all the jokes he wants about me"
"Omg your dress! That was so expensive! What are you gonna do?" bella said turning in her seat
"Shit i don't know...i'll wear it for prom i guess.."

When you got home your older sister Emma was in the kitchen.

"Mom still at work?" you asked
"Yeah she said she won't be home till 8"
"Great" you said rolling your eyes
"Why whats up?"
You just looked at her and stayed quiet.
"Omg! y/n has detention tomorrow and she can't go to the dance and wear her expensive dress! Oh and she has detention was Jonah" Annie said
"What the hell Ann" you said slapping her on the arm. Then the doorbell rang. You got up to get it.
"Annie your boyfriends here" you yelled laughing. Zach Herron was Annie's partner for a project they were doing. Zach was the most popular guy in Annie's grade.
"Hey y/n" Zach said with a smile
"Hi Zach" just then Annie came up behind you and hit your arm. Annie told Zach to go to her room.. When he was in her room
"He's not my boyfriend for god sakes shut up and don't say it so loud!" Annie then went off to her room and closed the door.
You and Emma were laughing you heads off at this point.

"You know Zach has a crush on you right" Emma said laughing
"Yeah i know but he likes Annie too plus i'm too old for him" you said getting a snack
"So detention with Jonah uh?" emma said with a smile
"Omg will you shut up! I haven't liked him since 6th grade"
Emma laughed
"But that's not the problem moms gonna be pissed that i got detention"
"Just don't tell her, she works late tomorrow plus it's homecoming. Plus aren't you staying at hannahs tomorrow?"
"Yeah i guess.."

You then went to your room and went on your phone and looked through all you socials. When you got on snapchat you saw Jonah posted something on his story. It was about a party tomorrow night, you weren't surprised. His parents always go out of town this time of year. You just rolled your eyes and put your phone down and did some homework.

~next day~

It was school pride day and you were a cheerleader so you had to wear your cheer uniform. Every Time you wore it Jonah always made fun of you and how short your skirt was. So you were getting prepared for that all morning.

When you go to school you found Bella and Hannah flirting with a couple football guys like they always do. They were on the cheer team as well.

You grab Bella and Hannah by the arms dragging them away from the boys
"Bye boys" you yelled
And you guys went to class. The first class you have all your friends in.

"Daniel are you going to Jonah's party tonight?" you asked sitting down
"Most likely. Why you wanna come?"
"Ha no ill pass, i'd rather not go see a bunch of drunken idiots" you said laughing
"Your lose" Daniel said laughing

When it was time for math you didn't want to go in because you weren't in the mood for Jonah's bullshit today. But Hannah dragged you in and of course there was Jonah with his stupid friends making jokes. He looked at you but you hide behind Hannah, but that didn't help.

"Look it's the cheer queen herself"
You ignored him
"Why is your skirt so short? You're just asking to be made fun of"
He says that every time you wear your uniform so you just laughed.
Jonah gave up and went back to his seat and stayed quiet the rest of class.

The day went by pretty quickly with Jonah's same old jokes making it go faster.
After school you had Hannah give bella and Annie a ride since you always drive them home but you couldn't because of detention.

"Ready for detention with Jonah' Annie said laughing.
"Just make sure mom doesn't go in my room if she comes home early got it?"
She nodded and went in the car
"See you guys tonight" you said to Bella and Hannah was you walked back inside the school.

You were missing the homecoming football game as well. You were pissed, you spent weeks practicing the cheers for it. The person you could blame was Jonah so thats what you did, you just didn't say it out loud.

When you walked into the room Jonah was already sitting in the back. He smirked at you and you rolled your eyes and sat in the front. The teacher told you the rules and then he left and locked the doors. You just sat on your phone. But Jonah kept tapping his pencil, which was really annoying.

"Will you stop that" you snapped
"Attitude much" Jonah said laughing
You rolled you eyes again and went back to your phone.
After about an hour you got really bored and hungry. You looked through your bag to find something to eat but you had nothing. You heard footsteps coming towards you and you looked up to see Jonah giving you some crackers.

"Here"
"Um why would i take those from you?"
"Just take them! I can hear your stomach growl from the back of the room"
You took them and he went back to his seat.

Jonahs POV
Truth is i like y/n, i've liked her since 5th grade. After her dad died i felt so bad for her. But i liked her and i was an awkward little kid so i didn't say anything. I don't know why i'm so mean to her. I just don't want any of the guys to know i like her. It's weird but i want to tell her but i can't cause the guys are always around me. Daniel and i have been friends as long as him and y/n have. Daniel and i just don't hang out as much as his does with y/n. He's the only one whos knows i like her. One night at a party i got a little drunk and told him.

When Mr Walker told us we had detention together i freaked! We would be alone together for 4 hours. I could tell her i liked her, but she hates my guts.

Today was school spirit day or whatever and y/n always had to wear her cheer uniform. Everytime she wore that she always looked so hot. It killed me every time she walked into class i couldnt help but stare, but before the guys notice i always make a rude joke.

When detention started i was texting the guys about getting ready for the party. I didn't even realize i was tapping my pencil until y/n snapped at me. She was more pissed than usual towards me so i stopped. And went back on my phone.

After about an hour i heard y/n's stomach growling. She started to dig threw her bag but she didn't find anything, i had some extra crackers so i  got up and gave them to her. She was a little snot about it but i don't blame her
