"Betty, why is Jughead waiting for you? I thought he was mad at you?" Betty sighed and rolled her head. "He was mad, Arch. But he came to me, and talked. So I told him about the black hood." Archie swung his head to Betty. "What?! You know what the black hood said about-" Betty cut him off. "Trust me Archie. The black hood isn't going to be bothering my friends for a while but-" Betty looked up at the window. "I should get back to Jug." Betty started to walk away when Archie spoke. "So that's it huh?" Betty sighed and turned around, almost teary eyed. "What do you want me to say Archie?" Archie stood there for a second, then walked away. The last thing Betty saw was Archie throw the roses on to the ground, leaving them to die.
Betty walked into the diner and sat back at her table, waiting for Jughead. He came a minute later, smiling. "Sorry, upset stomach." Betty smiled. "No worries, take a seat." Betty moved over as Jughead sat next to her and kissed her, longingly. He pulled away and put his hand on her cheek. "You are so amazing, Betty Cooper." Betty smiled and dug her head into his neck bone, resting on his shoulder. Betty looked outside the window, staring at the red roses that were soon to die, just like the rest of the town.

Veronica laid on her bed, moping as she stared at her phone. She knew that she loved Archie, and she should have just taken the flowers and kissed him, but she also knew that Archie didn't love her. She knew that Archie and Betty had spent spontaneous amounts of time together, and she knew that something was happening between them, and no matter how angry she wanted to be, she wasn't. Veronica wanted to hate Archie and Betty, but she had secretly been falling for a special someone else.
