Monday morning, 7:00am.
Betty woke up to a soft tap at her door, signaling it was time to get dressed.
Jughead woke up to a loud yell from FP, stating he would be late if he slept in like this.
Veronica woke up to a light tap at her door, knowing it was time for pastries and soft wine.
Archie woke up to an alarm clock in his room because his dad was long gone to work.
They all got ready for school, slowly because of what was yet to come.
Monday morning, 7:45am.
Veronica got to school, and could already feel everyone staring at her. She was starting to rethink this whole "get back at Betty by kissing Jughead thing", because the publicity Veronica was getting for it wasn't the kind she liked.
Meanwhile, Betty got to school feeling like she was floating on air. True, she didn't have her best friend anymore, but she was dating her childhood soulmate, and honestly, she didn't have time to focus on anyone else. So she went into the news room, awating for Archie's arrival.
Jughead was used to it. Being stared at. He didn't care whether people liked him or didn't, so none of it really bothered him. The only thing that bothered him is how he had hurt Betty, and what for? But he could never admit that to her. He could never go up to her and say sorry expecting an apology. He had to face it, she was too good for him.
Archie on the other hand, he walked into school with pride. He had gotten what he had wanted, and now he didn't care what anyone else said, but it still annoyed him how many people asked about Veronica and Jughead. "I don't know man, just drop it!" He said to one student who was being a little too pushy. But he wasn't going to let anyone ruin his day. He had a girl to go get.
Veronica quickly got into class, trying to ignore everyone as much as possible. She hated all the attention she was getting, which was a first for Veronica lodge to hate attention. But it was true. The first class she had was with Archie and Jughead, and while she saw Jughead in the corner, Archie was nowhere to be found.
Archie walked into the newsroom, and once he saw Betty's bright face, his smile lit up as he walked closer to kiss her on her soft lips. "Good morning to you too." She said after their kiss, and he only laughed. "I missed you." Betty grinned and put her hand on Archie's cheek. Archie loved when betty did that, it was one of his favorite things she did. It calmed him down. "I missed you to Arch." She whispered, before slowly pulling him in and kissing him again. This time it was a minute or two before either of them pulled away, but once second bell rang it seemed that they had more important places to be. As Archie walked out of the newsroom, he yelled to Betty, "see you at snack?" She just nodded her head with the goofiest grin on her face. Betty Cooper was truly happy.
Jughead, as he sat in the corner with his head phones in, noticed Archie March into class, two minutes late. "Your late, Mr. Andrews." Archie stumbled for a minute, but then picked himself back up. "Sorry, bathroom." Archie walked to his seat and the teacher continued his lesson. Unfortunately for Archie, he was only a seat behind Ronnie, so she could practically hear his breathing, which was a terrible reminder of everything that had happened in the past week. Veronica looked back at Jughead in hopes that he'd be looking at her, but he'd been too busy actually doing the classwork. Even though the whole thing was supposed to be a prank to get back at Archie and Betty, the second kiss they had wasn't planned and hadn't seemed to be a prank. But it did seem that Jughead forgot all about it. And that saddened Veronica, because she wanted to know what it meant.
