Part 2

When you arrived at school today, Vasco is already there. He seems to be talking about something with his friends. Suddenly you remembered something. Today the school is a bit chaotic. You heard some girls saying that there is a new transferred student in fashion department. There must be something more because you don't think a 'normal' transferred student can cause chaos at school. Well you don't really care actually.

While waiting for the class to start, you scrolled through Wattpad to read your favorite fan fiction. Then you heard one of Vasco's friend, the one with big ears said something about the new student. You tried to eavesdrop on their conversation but failed. The teacher had already arrived in the classroom. The boys then quickly sit at their own places. You took a glance at Vasco before taking out your textbook. 'His eyes are red! Did he cry?' you wonder. Not wanting him to realized that you are looking at him, you quickly open the textbook and stared at it blankly. 'Really? Did he really cry? Why? What happen?' you are filled with curiosity.

At lunch time, Vasco left his seat as fast as lightning. He then raced out of the classroom together with his bunch of friends. "I'm sure, something must have happened to Vasco" you mumbled. Then you heard your stomach growling "ahhh, I'm hungry. Let's just hope those bit*hes from yesterday would not disturb me or else I'm just gonna eat them instead. Hahahaha" you said to yourself while grabbing your purse.

Upon arriving at the cafeteria, you could see that a boy is being circled by a bunch of girls. You can hear them screaming "Daniel". You tried to look at the boy's face and you nod to yourself and said 'no wonder. He is quite cute. I think he is the new transferred student, just like me'. While those girls are busy with Daniel you hurriedly buy food for you and sit at the same table as yesterday.

While eating, your eyes darted all around the cafeteria and you spot Vasco and his friends. They didn't eat but just staring at the new boy, Daniel. Well, since you don't know what is happening and why Vasco is acting like that you don't want to assume anything. Even though you are extremely curious about it.

Done eating, you wanted to go back to your class. All of a sudden someone pushed you from behind making you fall. "Oww!" you said a bit louder. When you looked up, you see a guy that wears a pair of sunglasses. He laughed at you together with his friends. Some of the bystanders looks at you with disgust and some of them laugh together with the sunglasses guy.

You feel angry. You didn't do anything wrong but why is he doing this to you. You really want to punch him in the face but you know you can't do that. You are not that strong. You can hear people said "nice Vin Jin, she deserves that" and "ugly girl like her has no place in this school". You feel really sad. Being ugly is not a crime and it is not your fault. You try to hold back your tears. 'I can do this. This is nothing compared to what I've faced in X High', you try to calm yourself.

Suddenly you heard a familiar voice from your back. "Oi Vin Jin, why did you push her?" Vasco asked while grabbing your arm helping you to get up. The crowd became silent. "Why? Because she is ugly and I don't like her", Vin Jin replied. Vasco moved closer to Vin Jin then he grabbed and squeeze Vin Jin's shoulder. Vin Jin screamed in pain and try to remove Vasco's hand from his shoulder.

Vasco's big eared friend said "that's it. The squeeze of death. I was brought to knees because the pain is unbearable". The crowd seems scared of Vasco so some of them leave quickly. "You should not do that to other people. You better said sorry to her", Vasco said to Vin Jin. Vin Jin refused to say sorry and that makes Vasco squeezed his shoulder harder. "So- sorry", Vin Jin said and obviously he is not sincere with his words.

After some time, Vasco finally released Vin Jin shoulder. Vin Jin then clicked his tongue and before he leaves he said "hey ugly girl. Today is your lucky day. But next time I met you, you are finished". You didn't look at him because you are too scared. 'I'm dead if we met again', you thought.

"Are you okay?" Vasco asks. Then he said, "I like you because you don't cry and you showed him that you are not weak. Never ever listened to what he had told you because you didn't do anything wrong". You just stared at Vasco. He saved you today. He is the very first person that ever stepped out to save you in your whole life. He didn't discriminate you because of your looks. He even told you that you didn't do anything wrong. "Tha- thank you Vasco", you finally said something to him. He smiled at you and said "no problem. Tell me if anything happens okay". Then he left with his friends.

After that, you walk slowly to your classroom. "Haaa, I owed him this time. Lucky me Vasco was there. I don't know what will happen if he didn't save me back then" you whispered to yourself. In your head, you are thinking on how will you repay his kindness. You don't really know him, so it would be weird if you suddenly give him something. 'Ughh never mind, I will try to figure out later what should I do to thanked him for saving me', you thought. And just like that, you forgot your curiosity to find out why Vasco cried today.
