he had known it for awhile. hoseok knew that the shy boy in his fourth period had a huge crush on him, and he didn't quite know how to feel at first.

he had seen min yoongi put the notes in his locker multiple times, and he'd be lying if he said that he his heart didn't flutter while reading them. but at the same time, he has a girlfriend and maybe he'd just hurt yoongi more.

hoseok wasn't good with things like this. he didn't know how to comfort people, and he thought that he usually made it worse.

yoongi would disagree though. it was the little things, as cheesy as that sounds. when hoseok smiled at him, when he complimented his shoes, to sitting with him, and introducing him to new people.

hell, it was just hoseok himself that comforted yoongi. his bright smile is refreshing. it told yoongi that maybe life isn't as bad as it could be.

"what are you thinking about?" hoseok's voice interrupted his thoughts. yoongi's face automatically turned red.

"just thinking about the test next period." he mumbled an excuse.

"oh okay. seokjin was wondering if you wanted to come over to his house after school and meet one of his friends?" hoseok smiled slightly.

"oh uh sure."

"great! see you then!"

yoongi was now sitting awkwardly next to hoseok on seokjin's couch, patiently awaiting the arrival of this mysterious friend he'd heard so much about in the past ten minutes.

"hey sorry i'm late!" a short boy, even shorter than yoongi, walked in.

"hey jimin! this is my friend yoongi." seokjin automatically stands up and greets him.

"uh hi, i'm yoongi." he follows seokjin and shakes jimin's hand.

"you didn't tell me your friend was cute." jimin grinned and yoongi awkwardly mumbled a thank you.

hoseok was absolutely was not jealous. he also was absolutely not seething when jimin continued to grin and talk to yoongi.

"hey are you okay?" he jumped at the sound of seokjin's voice.

"of course i am! why would you even ask that?"

"i mean you're basically throwing daggers at jimin with your eyes. what's up?" seokjin sighed.

"it's really nothing jin. i'm just mad that I failed the test, i was zoning out." hoseok came up with an excuse quickly.

seokjin looked skeptical but he nodded anyway, not wanting to push.

it wasn't long before jimin had to leave and the three were left in jin's living room.

"jimin is totally into you yoongi!" seokjin exclaimed suddenly, and hoseok's mood only worsened.

"he probably doesn't." yoongi's face was bright red.

"besides, i like someone else." he added quieter, making hoseok strain to hear him.

"we could totally set you guys up! you and hoseok could have a double date!"

"what?!"
