Chapter 1
___Narrator ___
The oldest stories ever told are written in the stars. Stories of time before man and gods, when Titans ruled the earth. The Titans were powerful... but their reign was ended by their own sons. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Zeus convinced his brother Hades to create a beast so strong it could defeat their parents. And from his own flesh, Hades gave birth to an unspeakable horror... the Kraken. Zeus became king of the heavens, Poseidon of the seas, and Hades tricked by Zeus was left to rule the Underworld in darkness and in misery. It was Zeus who created man, and man's prayers fed the god's immortality. But in time, mankind grew restless. They began to question the gods and finally rise up against them. Into this a boy was born, accompanied by his younger sibling. a brother and sister who would change everything.
___Third person POV___
A golden casket with beautiful details on the top and side rose from the depths of the sea to the surface. Once it reaches the surface a fisherman sees the casket and brings it onto the deck and uncovers the net he used to retrieve to it. He then began to take the bolts off that sealed the casket close. Once he took them all off he opened the casket to find a soaked woman lying dead holding two babies. One of the babies was crying and he guessed it was a boy, while the other who was a girl was sleeping soundly on the right side of her dead mother. The fisherman picked up the boy and rocked it gently calming the baby boy. Once the baby boy was asleep the fisherman put him in a new dry blanket and set him on a hammock before he went and retrieved the baby girl from the casket. They seemed to smile when the fisherman put them side by side on the hammock and went back to the back of the boat to steer the boat away from the sea storm in the distance. Meanwhile, on a cliff watching the boat sail away was a woman of pure beauty standing there in a light grey cloak smiling to herself. "Perseus... Artana" she nodded and turned around leaving the boat to sail into the sunset.____Time-Skip(10 years later)___
Perseus and his younger sister, Artana sat on the ground looking at the grey storm clouds above. While also listening to the rumble of the thunder and the soft voices of their parents. As they sat there they held each other's hand and every time the thunder crashed they would press their hand over their hearts to try and rid themselves of the pain. Their father looked at them and saw the sad looks each of the siblings shared while sitting so close together. He then walked over to them with his wife watching them in a lovely and kind way. "What is it my children?" Perseus looked at his father while Artana leaned onto her brother's shoulder and continued to look at the sky. Every time the lighting and thunder struck Perseus and Artana would have a pain shoot through their chest. "We'll have a brother or sister soon." Perseus spoke up in a worried way, their father nodded in an understanding way and looked back at his children. "You think we're gonna love this child differently to the way we love you two? We won't." Artana looked at her father in a sad way and clutched Perseus's hand tightly. "This child will be yours... us... we're no ones children." she looked out into the sea and sighed longingly. Their father looked at them sternly and spoke to them,"I am your father Perseus, Artana. Marmara is your mother. And you'll always be our children." Artana snuggled into Perseus more to grab some warmth and continued to listen to her father speak. "The bond between us is much more than flesh and bone. The love we have for you two... It's that love that gods and kings fight over." Artana smiled and Perseus also smiled. Their father continued, "I never understood the gods. But even I don't question that you two were saved for a reason. And some day... that reason is gonna take you to both far away from here... But not tonight, eh?" Perseus smiles widely and lets out a little laughs. He looks down at his sister so see that she was playing with the woven bracelet he made her not to long ago. Marmara then came over slowly, with her being pregnant, and sat down beside Artana resting a hand on her shoulder. They then all looked out and up at the sky towards the grey storm clouds and seemed to relax at each other's company without a care about the storm raging on around them.
