Hello my loves!
Since my last update I've done a lot of thinking, and realized that this story still has a lot to tell! I'm constantly trending on the fantasy list (#350!!!!! Ahhh!!!) plus a steady audience and constantly growing! I just hit 9k views today thanks to you guys. I love you all so much, thank you!
I've come back to let you all know that THIS STORY WILL BE CONTINUING!!!!!!!!
Starting January 1st, I will posting two chapters a week and within the month of January, the novel will be finished and I can move onto other things.
WHILE you all wait, I HIGHLY encourage you to all please give me a follow for updates, PLEASE share this story with friends, like, and comment. The more active you are the more motivated I will be to finish. And, check out my ten chapter novella Blacksword while you wait (it will be out December 31st!). Chapters will be released weekly. Here's a preview:
The world has been without music ever since it was outlawed by the United Nations 75 years ago. Deemed vulgar, explicit, violent, and overall dangerous to the general public's well being, all traces of music and dance have been wiped from the planet completely. That is until 17-year-old Estrella Santos finds and secret underground society of music makers while on a trip to the Caribbean with her family. They call themselves the Blacksword.
As you guys have probably noticed by the title, TKI is supposed to be the first in a series entitled "A Queen's Tale". I wanted to give you all a heads up and tell you that THE NEXT TWO BOOKS IN THE SERIES WILL NOT BE ABOUT VIVIA AND LUC. This will be an anthology series all centering around each one of the Novena Brothers (I know it says "Queen" but you'll understand why in a minute"). The next novel is going to center around DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!
DUN DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!!!
EVANDER!!!!
Evander is my not so secret love and I cannot waitttt for you guys to read the next installment. Much like this novel, Evander will be the love interest of our next leading lady and her name is......DRUM ROLL
DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M NOT TELLING YOU YET MUAHAHAHAHA
You guys are definitely going to meet her soon (or maybe you already have *wink wink*) so it isn't going to be a complete and total shock. Vivia and Luc are STILL going to be in the story, they just won't be our center couple anymore. IF they even end up together.
Tehehehe.
The last novel is going to be told from the perspective of my favorite best friend EVER ahem AGNA. It will also center around the eldest brother, Hesman.
Ahem, also another one of my secret loves.
The reason why I am telling you guys this, and not deeming it spoilers (which it totally is) is because I want you guys to know exactly what's going to happen with this story, where it's going, who is narrating, etc. I don't want everyone to be caught off guard and be like "HEY IF VIVIA AND LUC AREN'T THE MAIN CHARACTERS I DON'T WANT TO READ IT ANYMORE!" Because this is an anthology type series a la AMERICAN HORROR STORY, except, everything here intertwines.
On to other matters.
The reason why I'm waiting until January first to do any REAL novel updates, is because I want to edit this novel, change certain plot points to my liking, revise existing chapters, and then finisht he novel completely. That way, come January I won't face writers block or chapter delays because the novel will have already been completed and I can post consistently. Which, I hope, you guys agree with.
I'll be checking in at least once a week, dropping snippets, chapter samplers, sneak peeks, etc. As a HUGE thank you to everyone for sticking around with this story and getting me TRENDING ON THE FREAKING FANTASY LIST EVERY EFFING WEEK here is a teaser I think you'll alllll enjoy!!!!!

Vivia stared at her reflection in the mirror, wondering where the young physician from Canta had gone. She was lost in an abundance of layers of luscious fabric and layers of cosmetics. But she looked regal.
Every inch of her scream royalty. And soon, people would be kneeling at her feet, kissing the toe of her high heels.
Dija took time smearing a glittery oil on every last one of Vivia's curls, masterfully crafting them so that they shaped her face beautiful and complimented the massive crown Agna held over her head while she stood on a footstool. Her corset was laced so tightly she could barely breathe but that was no matter. The dress.....
The dress was worth it.
The massive skirt sat like a round white bell on her waist. A stiff layer of dark gold fabric sat over waving layers of lacey white and ivory skirts that resembled flower petals. Her tall collar was encrusted with tiny crystals and a gold and silver thread swirling to create intricate patterns. The sweetheart neckline revealed just the right amount of cleavage and the cut of the bodice accentuated her curves. It was covered in sapphire and ruby colored designs that spilled onto the godet. She tried to shift into a more comfortable position, where the weight of the gown didn't affect her so much, but the maid behind her--Tema--grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Please remain still, Miss Vivia."
Vivia swallowed. "I'm sorry Tema."
Agna frowned at her reflection in the mirror. "Is the crown centered?"
"I--"
"It's perfect, Lady Agna," Dija gave her a shaky smile. "As long as it doesn't fall off."
Vivia didn't find the joke funny.
She stared at the two working girls behind her as they gently removed her cloak from its box, and another straightened out the long train of her gown. When the two girls pulled out the cloak she thought it was endless--beautiful--but too long to be practical.
This is it, Vivia. This is your life now.
The weight of the crown caught her so off guard she caught her breath as Agna secured it on her head. Her best friend grinned. "I don't even need any pins. It fits like a glove."
Before Vivia could respond, Evander poked his head into the room and said, "Whenever you're ready, ladies." he looked at her and winked with a reassuring smile before disappearing.
Vivia's heart was pounding so fiercely against her chest she thought she might topple over. The two girls secured the cloak and around Vivia's shoulders and secured the gold clasp with a click. Drowning in jewels, perfume, and everything in the world that sparkled, Vivia felt full of dread.
Dija stepped in front of her and smiled. "Are you ready, Miss Vivia?"
No, she thought.
She wasn't.
