The Books

I wake up with a start almost forgetting where I was. The room I was in was old and tattered (just like everything else in the building). The walls had holes in them and the faded peach colored paint was chipping away. The wooden floor boards were creaky and the lighting was dim, but the bed I was laying in at least looked well kept dusty but still well kept.
Pulling the covers off of my body I silently get out of bed and head out of the room. The hallway was silent, all you could hear was the creak of the floorboards under my feet and sounds of the wind through the broken windows.
After walking around for what seemed like hours I came to a set of wooden double doors. When I opened them I found what looked to be an abandon library. The books were covered in cob webs and there were staircases that led to several floors of hundreds to thousands of more books were all dusty as the carpet was rotting with grime and mud.
I stepped further into the room and did something incredibly stupid and embarrassing on my part. I tried to do the teleporting thing that the boy and girl did earlier since I wanted to go up the stairs without going up the stairs.
At first, nothing happened, but during my final attempt, I waved my hand in a circular motion and accidentally pushed my hand forward.
A red light which was different from what I has seen other emit began to surround me. Soon the red light slowly faded into an iridescent white. As the new shade started to shimmer the red kept breaking through until it fused with the light and I was teleported to the fifth floor of the library that said Restricted in big bold red letters. A faint glow was coming from the self of the section so I moved closer to it until I spotted two books that looked to be older than the word old. The first was a faded white and black book that was titled The Book of Yin and Yang while the other was black and red that that titled The Book of the Forbidden.
Me being the smart and intelligent person I am, I opened the first book and the pages started to turn by themselves. Normally, anyone else would have been disturbed or frightened of this, but with all I've seen in less than 48 hours, this looks about as normal as this place will get. When the pages finally stopped turning, it was on page 478 that was titled The Art of Summoning and Charm Spells across the top. As I read on the book shows figures and symbols correspond with each spell, but the more I read, the more the Forbidden book glowed. Temporarily putting the book down, I motion towards the book when
"What are you doing up there?!"screamed the girl from earlier as she quickly made her way towards me. "We have been looking all over for you!"She continues looking around until she finds the two now floating books beside me and freezes. "How did you get those?" She whispers wide-eyed as she continues to stare at the glowing books. "Those two books are almost ancient. Our people have been looking for them for all most a century! We've looked everywhere, and they definitely were not here, and yet you somehow found them?" She says in curiously though there was a bit of harshness in her voice. "I was just looking around," I say, trying to explain myself. "You guys literally poofed me into a room on a random floor. Did you think I'd stay there?" I asked, but the girl was still standing there. "Look, I know the books aren't mine, okay? I was up here looking and they started to glow and stuff, besides I only read a lit-" she cut me off with a screech before grabbing me by my collar and pushing me up against the nearest wall. She glared at me and spoke again. "You did what? You are the first person to read it, which means that no one else can read them until you decipher every spell and give them a name." She breathes out, then she continues." The only way for us to read the book is for me to kill you, " she says with a crazed look in her eyes. " Don't worry, it won't hurt at all," she says as she raises her hand and quietly starts to murmur an enchantment.
As she does this, I feel my body start to shake, and my eyes heat up as if their on fire. The girl quickly stops enchanting and suddenly drops me, shaking her hands that are now steaming, and she lets out an ear piercing scream as she looks at me. "Y-You!" She screamed."What did you do!" and I could hear her moving backwards, almost stumbling with her steps, "They're bleeding! My hands are bleeding! What did you do?",  she yelled. 'Bleeding? How am I supposed to know all I did was stand here in pain!' I thought. Then I remembered a spell from the book that I had seen while skimming. I closed my eyes and whispered the word "Miroborum" (Mirror), under my breath, and opened my eyes. My Iris was now a scarlet color, and the sclera was blood red as the blood began to drip from my eyes as if I was crying. "Forbidden," the girl said as I looked over at her now slightly shaking form. "That thing with your eyes, it's confirmation of a long sealed forbidden curse having been placed upon you. It has many stages, and it's been said to allow the user to see the unseen." She uttered so lowly it's a miracle I heard her. My thoughts, however, are on the stages part. "What do you mean by stages?" I ask the girl, and just when she opens her mouth to reply, Unknown entered the library running with incredible speed looking quite angry. "You!" Unknown shouts pointing her index finger at me, " We have been looking all over for you, and here you are in this library, and in the forbidden section might I add!" She yells before turning to the girl holding her bleeding hands to her chest "And you Unknown are might I remind you banned from even stepping foot inside of this part of the building if you have forgotten" Unknown says giving the girl a pointed glare. "Both of you follow me, and you can explain the sorry states the both of you are in on the way to the main hall. There is a more important problem to take care of at the moment, " Unknown said as she then walked out without looking back, knowing that we weren't far behind following.
